I work 2 night shift jobs and getting PA in after a 12 hr shift seems impossible because I feel like all I'm capable of doing is passing out. So what kind of things do you do to get PA in?

Fatigue months after RNY...
I have been dealing with quite a bit of tiredness pretty months after surgery. I tried to increase my calorie and water intake to see if that's a factor but it doesn't make a difference. I usually get about 700-850/day but that's my norm and has been even when I had more energy. Vitamins are tolerated fine, blood work is…

Bypass vs sleeve
Has anyone started out saying they were 100% going to have the sleeve then decided to have the bypass instead? I started out planning to have the sleeve, as well as my husband. We started going to support group and listening to people, seems like most people say that they can still eat quite a bit with the sleeve and that…

Nearing maintainance Calories
I am 15 months out from RNY and still have about 30 pounds to go. My calories per day average 1300 to 1400 and I am losing about 1.7 pounds a week. I have found the last few weeks that losses seem to be slowing. How many of you were able to reach your suggested weight and what is your calorie average to maintain? Thanks,…

Coming up to my first anniversary
Hi, I had my bypass surgery nearly a year ago, mid-June. I've been very, very lucky with no complications and few long-term food intolerances. My weight loss has slowed, but frankly I enjoy where I am now, ninety pounds down from where I started. (I lost thirty pounds on my own before being referred for surgery). I am…

1,000 Days of Tracking
I just reached my 1,000th day on MFP. I have weighed all my portions, and tracked every bite. I have been maintaining my weight very steady for almost 2 years. I have no doubt I would be eating a lot more and gaining if it wasn't for this fantastic resource. It really has kept me on track.

My 600-lb Life
I'm sure most of us are familiar with this show in which severely obese individuals are given the opportunity to have bariatric surgery and change their life. Today there happens to be a "marathon" on TLC. Obviously it's "reality" TV so some things have to be taken with a grain of salt. And every moment on the show is very…

Do you have a counselor? How did you choose?
So, I'm starting to realize that I may need some emotional support through this process of weight loss. I am doing fine, weight-loss-wise at 9 months out from surgery. I've lost 105 pounds and I've taken up both strength training and running. I'm in a size 14--down from a 24. I'm not depressed, although I am probably…

It's my surgiversary!
One year ago right now I was headed into the OR to get sleeved. I can honestly and without reservation say that it was the best decision I've ever made. I am down 140 pounds this morning (from 323 to 183) with a bit more to go to goal (I haven't settled on exactly what "goal" is just yet). I had my year check up with the…

Weight loss stalls
I'm sure I'm being overly anxious and that everything will be fine, but I'm one month out from surgery and have hit my first stall. I didn't lose anything the week of my surgery then suddenly dropped 18 pounds the second week after. Then for 2 weeks, my weight stayed the same. A few days ago I gained a pound and have…

Very much a SV!
I have lost 51 lbs. since my 5-day pre-op clear liquids diet (starting on 2/11/15), and I just got under 200 lbs. for the first time since 1999. I will likely fluctuate back up a lb. or so here or there, so I think I'll just stay off the scale for a week. Anyway, I was excited enough to jump on here to post. Just…
