  • @canadjineh I have a foot deformity called tarsus varus. Big toe goes out sideways like a thumb. Also fallen arch, heel needs repair. Broke a bone in that foot at some point, too. Still functional but often painful. Just no time right now to get it fixed. Next summer maybe.
  • I'm having a hungry day today, too. Already eaten most of my days allotment of calories. I have stuck to low carb though. Being short I still have to watch the calories.

My Mom had lymphedema in her legs due to atrial fibrillation and blood pressure issues. She wore thigh high compression stockings. Seemed to help as did the massage and elevating her legs…
  • I too, want to "eat all the things". In my case it's because I want something that tastes good. Nothing tastes good anymore! Even carby , sweet things, meaty , fatty things, even nuts ....sigh.

  • Just had the nicest lunch at the local diner. Crab Benedict, no bread or hash browns. Crab, poached eggs and hollandaise. A little bit of mesclun greens and a lot of blue cheese dressing. Yumm
  • We put the furnace on for the first time this morning. At 9:15 am it is only 50 degrees F . Might warm up to 65 later. Wearing jeans and a fleece jacket in th house with a lap robe on my legs. I rarely was this cold before I lost weight.

  • Reached 139.1. First time I've been under 140 since 1976. 140 was my initial goal weight. I hope I can loose another 10 lbs. over the next year. It's going to be very slow, but that is ok.

  • I am 5'2" and about 142 lbs. I eat at about 1000 to 1100 calls a day. By the time I get in the protein, veggies and associated fats for cooking , serving, etc there are no calories for desserts or fat bombs.   • I have an allergy to mustard so I've always made my own barbecue sauce. Recipe similar to those posted, except sub some horseradish for the mustard and add a little smoked paprika or smoky chipotle . Something magical does happen after a few hour in the fridge!
  • Had some vanilla , no added sugar, ice cream yesterday afternoon. Paid for it dearly about 4 hours later with a couple runs for the bathroom. Good news is I'm down 2 lbs! It must have been loaded with sugar alchols , Splenda or something.
  • My sister in law tried taking three different statins and they all affected her mentally, fogginess, balance, etc. She also has Parkinson's so there may have been some other interactions with those meds.

  • I bought size 10 dress slacks yesterday. Still have muffin top , but a lot of it is loose skin ( I think ) from loosing 40+ pounds in six months. I'm older so I expect the saggy skin will never completely go away. A year ago I was wearing size 20!

  • Yep, me, too. Too much stretched skin. Even if I look slimmer IN my clothes , in a swimsuit it is just sad saggy skin.
