sustainable weightloss does not happened suddenly if you want to lose like 15kg in a week or 2 then cut off a leg or something if you want to lose weight safely and sustainably - i.e. to keep it off and maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle change then LISTEN to what everyone has been saying! eat more and eat better! I…

me and hubby don't celebrate as its a waste of money especially so soon after xmas and new year and my jan birthday, his feb birthday and our feb anniversary lol but what about a home cooked meal by you? it could be reasonably low cal too im making a giant cookie for my hubby for our anniversary similar to -…

why not use a water bottle with your daily intake other than tea to encourage you to drink it? I drink 6-8litres of water every day (pure water not flavoured or mixed with tea etc) so 8 cups is way too little for me!

I just finished w2 r3 yesterday due to illness keeping me back week3 run 1 on Tuesday fingers crossed! and yoga tonight

sorry just remembered about her singing up to the 5k in april - could you maybe do the c25k programme with her - likely at night when no one can see (which is when I normally try to run) just make sure you take it easy on the run part for her (more a fast walk prob for u) is she competitive with any other family members…

why not do her piyo exercises with her at home instead of going to the gym? or ask if she would support you and join in a healthy eating or sugar free etc diet for a month - say u want to try it and it would be easier if she joined or at least supported by not having any tempting foods around my partner gained weight with…

if you go onto the nhs bmi calculator and input ur info it will recommend a calorie range to lose weight if u choose the middle to lower end you will lose weight - the website promotes sustainable weightloss and lifestyle changes you can always decrease the cal total but if you go straight to 1200 there's nowhere left to…

its not impossible but make sure you take measurements too as there will be times you may not have lost weight but will have lost inches I aim for 2lb a week loss but I am happy when I lose 1lb a weeks - at least the numbers are going down, however slowly and again small goals are key, i.e. bmi range weight, every 5lbs, etc

i would just say outright - 'sorry but I don't believe in magic' I know too many sellers who have contacted people I know who have lost weight in a healthy way so they can use their results - its all a lie or explain that you are on the blue virgin mermaid pee diet only as that's the only magic you believe in (or something…

think that's the thing, everyone wants a quick easy fix so they (me included in the past) try loads of fads and think it will work wonders in a short time period, it takes a really good mindset to prepare yourself for a life change - which is what most people on here are doing, any who truly think that just eating a colour…

thanks JanetYellen! I put in todays data and have 2600mg of sodium but will be eating takeout later which is why its high (I pre-log when I know what im having) but yesterday was 668mg of sodium and the day before 802mg good to know its not a bad thing to have low sodium intake - the rest are much closer to the goals so…

do you measure yourself too? if you are in the right head space maybe switch to measuring instead of weighing and see how you get on? I keep with a weekly weigh in but seeing a small change or no change one or two weeks wont deter me as im in it for the long haul so I just remind myself of the stats so far - I know it will…

1200 a day when working out lots seems too low.... check the nhs bmi calculator it shows the range of calories daily you should be consuming - you may need to increase you call by a few hundred in order to lose, or it might just be bloating due to time of the month or water retention due to high sodium the days before…
-
try some lower impact exercises instead of jumping jacks it might be due to your footwear - you may need more support to correct the foot position which affects your ankle, this may involve gait analysis and insoles to help support your arch and therefore your ankle - either go to a running shop or a podiatrist you also…
-
try running on a mini trampoline, have you checked that you don't need insoles? also there are youtube videos of low impact exercises to do
-
you could always make your meals separate? my hubby likes many meals I don't so he cooks say spag bol and makes 2 portions so he can eat the other half either at lunch the next day or for dinner another night, and I do my own low cal meal at the same time i.e. a stirfry so he can add all the salt he wants and I don't like…

my MIL when I said I wanted to lose weight for my wedding (was at a healthier 168lbs) CW 190, SW 210) 'your obviously not happy with yourself if you want to change by losing weight' or 'susan at work has lost doing that 5:2 diet, try that' um no that doesn't work with my life or 'ive never had to diet so maybe you should…

thanks everyone! ive been trying not to take them and just drinking water in the hope that being ill gets flushed away but I seem to be losing my voice instead lol I might log the strepsils after my 3rd or 4th one

mrscartguy - maybe change it to 1lb a week, mfp gave me 1260 to lose 2lb a week but I changed it to 1.5 and now I get 1360 and I don't feel bad when I go over 1200, but honestly there's days where im under 1100 and not hungry and days where I hit 1400 and im starving the whole point is to make a lifestyle change and to…
-
go with the 1600, if you start with 1200 you cant cut you calorie intake at any point as there's nowhere healthy to go also you will burn more if you are active if its a mind set issue set your target at 1500 and if you go over its not bad :)

800 calories! damn!

try setting mini goals as the grand total can seem to lose focus further in, if you have events throughout th year set some sensible goals for them i.e valentines day, easter, a holiday, birthday etc and good luck! my goal is 70lbs by the end of the year and a total of 100lbs but I have a goal for the end of april and if I…
