This is what I'm going to do!!!

Thanks for the feedback everyone! It's only been a couple of days since I posted this thread and I'm already at my goal! I have a 5 lb "window of acceptability" so I don't drive myself crazy with a single number on the scale. It's just going to be hard to wrap my mind around the thought of eating so many more calories per…

Nice thread! Green tea to curb hunger helps...just staying busy with activities that take my mind off of eating when I'm not even hungry.
-
Thinthin protein bites! I love the peanut butter ones!
-
That's like the best news ever!! Thanks!

This is totally what happened to me! Accurately logging all food consistently will break the cycle. Also make sure your activity level is at the right setting.
-
I use the fancy rolls already in the database, just get as close to the contents as possible. On average an 8 piece roll seems to be about 300 calories.

Yeah I'm there right now. 5'7 and 138lbs. Everyone says I'm skinny, etc. but I still feel big in my head. I want to lose 8 more lbs. I just changed my activity from sedentary to lightly active which put my calorie goal at 1450/day and I lost 3 lbs in 2 days! Maybe consider increasing your calories or at least make sure…

I've been using MFP for 2 years now and I have felt like that many times. Each time it happens you just have to reevaluate your situation and make one small adjustment at a time. One day you will see 5lbs vanish overnight! Stick with it!
-
"Don't get too skinny." Someone said that to me and followed it with: "cuz when a woman loses her curves, that's just unattractive." As if to say I was fast approaching that point. Um...thanks? My response was pretty much the same as therealklane: - :unamused: I'll stop when I am comfortable with myself and can…

Omg same here! I'm so annoyed because I feel the benefits of the exercise, I feel stronger and healthier, but then get super depressed about my weight going up as a result! It's so the opposite of what I'm going for here!!! I can't tell you why this happens, I'm just commiserating I guess, lol. Someone help us!!

I totally loved peanut butter before MFP but can't part with that many calories. Maybe when I made it to my goal weight.
-
Rice cakes and babybel lite cheese.
-
I am a carb fiend too and managed to reach my goal weight over a year and a half while fitting carbs into just about every day! MFP is awesome because it's sustainable!
-
Hard work and a positive attitude!

It's really whatever works best for you. Maybe log it according to what kind of food your eating. Breakfast if it's eggs and bacon, lunch if it's a subway sandwich, etc.
-
I think so! I'm 5'7 and 140lbs working with 1200 calories, trying to lose 10 more lbs. It's tough and the scale hasn't budged for a couple weeks, so I'm thinking of giving myself about 100 more calories daily if things continue this way for the next two weeks. I suggest giving your body about a month at a time to…

I am the same height and was 168lbs when I started MFP. I got down to my goal weight of 130lbs in about 18 months. It is possible!!! Hang in there.
-
I haven't really noticed, but my guess would be that while it is definitely beneficial to do strength/resistance training, they are not big calorie burners and may not be worth logging in comparison to cardio. Best wishes!

I've only recently started running a few times a week. I'm hooked. It's addicting to feel so good after a run. I definitely noticed the runner's high, and am amazed at how your body adapts so quickly and you can make progress so rapidly with seemingly less effort each time! I'm a 5'7 female, 139lbs. It was definitely hard…

I don't add my exercise calories unless I really did a lot and feel the need to eat extra calories.
-
I'm 27 and can't figure it out either, lol.
-
Killed it on the treadmill at the gym today. I feel amazing!
-
Rice cakes, popcorn, almonds, vegetables.
-
I can relate to your frustration. I reached my goal weight last September, gained a few pounds over the winter months, and decided to go back to the gym to shed those extra pounds. Wouldn't you know it? I gained a couple more pounds and have developed this insatiable snacking habit because of exerting extra energy! My…

Definitely popcorn and rice cakes! It's all about the act of chewing!

Being ready to rock swimwear by June!

That's the awesome thing about MFP! You can eat or drink whatever you want as long as it's accounted for! I drink wine on the reg and have lost almost 30 lbs. 4 pounds away from my goal. Drink up!
-
I'm about 4lbs away from my goal as well and have maintained this for about two months, so I decreased my activity level so as to be allowed fewer calories and have been doing this for about a week without results. Im stuck!
