I actually measure my progress with a fat caliper because I started gaining muscle and the number on the scale went up. But I would do about once a week on a scale if I were you so you're not obsessing over it.

I am the same exact way!! I close the kitchen after dinner, brush my teeth after eating (because toothpaste makes you food taste gross), I take a walk to distract me , and I go right to bed. It works about half the time lol :)

I only cheat when I really really want something. I get it out of my system and I'm good to go again. It's typically every 4 or 5 weeks but everyone is different.

Doctors go off the BMI but that's not accurate because there are so many different body types. Just focus on being healthy and you'll be fine :)

I do low carb, moderate protein, and high fat. It's true that fat has more calories but it also satisfies and keeps you feeling full longer so you end up not overeating all day. I haven't had an issue keeping my calories low on this diet.

I do the same thing! And don't be afraid to request something special. I already request my burgers without a bun so I don't waste food by throwing it out. And I always switch out fries for a salad.

I focus on fat, protein and carbs since I'm on a low carb diet but calories are also important. Just remember to eat whole good and stay away from processed. That's what I really focus on

I am one of the many who are obsessed and the texture is my favorite thing about it!! :)

You just have to experiment and find out what works for you. I'll on a low carb diet and am doing great on it. I have no problem doing this forever. But everyone's different. There are also variations of the diet like keto diet or paleo. Try different things out and see what's best for you.

Omg I'm the same exact way!!! When it comes to food on your plate, use smaller plates. You will actually trick your mind into thinking you have more food than you do. I also try to save leftovers for lunch and that prevents me from eating everything at dinner.

Find a different way to measure your progress like calipers. That's what I do now because I started gaining weight but it's all muscle :)

Sometimes your body just needs a break! Take it easy and I bet you'll start feeling better :)

I do low carb and I know a lot of others who do it as well and absolutely love it. The big thing for me is my cravings are gone now. They would get so bad on a low fat diet and I'd end up binging all the time. I'm doing much better on this diet though. Fat satisfies and keeps you full longer. I do extremely low carb at…

You are probably gaining muscle! I switched up my diet and exercise program and gained 20 pounds! You can start measuring your progress by your body fat rather than the scale though. That's what I do now.

Eating a big breakfast is fine as long as your other meals are smaller so you can be within your calories. I suggest only putting a little on your plate at a time and use smaller plates. It actually tricks your mind to thinking you have more on your plate than you do. Also try to eat slower and savor every bite. I really…

Cutting carbs has changed my life. I was doing a low fat diet and was getting bad cravings. I would have a cheat once a week and end up binging. It got pretty bad, I had such a sweet tooth! I would eat just plain sugar, no lie! But when I cut carbs and ate more fat, the cravings stopped. The fat fills you up and satisfies.…

You said you were toning up and I'm guessing that's why you're not seeing much results on the scale. I recently gained muscle and with that, 20 lbs. It sounds like a huge weight gain but it's totally muscle, not fat! I don't even use the scale anymore to measure my progress. You said you use calipers which is what I use…

I know exactly how you feel with the binge eating when you're not hungry. I used to eat entired batches of brownies by myself. I would sneak into the kitchen late at night and eat sugar by the spoon because that's how addicted I was to sugar. Two things changed that for me. I started keeping a diary of when I felt like…

I'm in Florida. No snow here :( But it actually sounds like a lot of fun! Bundle up!!

I'm on a low carb diet and I eat a lot of fat which makes everything taste better lol But there are things you can do on a budget. Farmer's markets are usually a lot less for your fruits and veggies. Looks for good sales and stock up. You can always throw extra meat in the freezer. Try to find food that's cheap and fills…

I think it depends from person to person. I know a lot of people who skip breakfast and I can do that easier on the weekends when I'm home but I can't do it at work.
-
You can throw it in soup, stir fry, or tuna salad! :)

Everyone's different! I'm fit, 5'2", weigh 134 (most muscle) and still struggle with fitting in my pants because of my squat booty! Lol but as far as shirt size, I'm small or extra small. The point is, clothes will always fit different people differently.

I started eating low carb high fat and I noticed a lot of muscle gain. Also working out a lot too. (Edited by mfp mod)

Hey there! The thing that has really helped me with my diet is eating whole foods. I feel a lot healthier eliminating processed foods and it's super easy to follow.

The number one thing that motivates me is knowing that other people are in the same exact position. We're all going through similar struggles but know that you can do this. Believe in yourself! You also just have to figure out what works for you. I was on a low fat diet for awhile and it just wasn't working out for me. I…

Lol I love them too. I say it depends on your diet. I do a low carb diet so unfortunately, I have to stay away from them now. :(

Welcome!! My best advice is to keep it simple. Eat real food (nothing processed) and exercise whenever possible. Weight loss doesn't have to be as complicated as everyone makes it out to be. Eat healthy but enjoy a treat now and then when you're craving something in particular. Log everything but don't stress so much over…

I'm starting to see abs!! I got rid of my scale because I started gaining muscle so my weight isn't a great way to measure my progress anymore. I still have a ways to go but I'm so happy to finally start seeing definition :)

I like you're way of thinking! :) I don't worry a whole lot about my calories for a cheat or "treat" as I call them. Some days I go over on my calories and sometimes I'm under so it all evens out in the end. Also, I think it's important to enjoy the one thing you're totally craving to just get it out of your system. Who…
