This. If you post a question on a forum you're going to get many different answers and they're going to be pretty wide-ranging since you haven't been very specific or given much information. Rather than get snippy or sarcastic why not answer some of the questions that have been asked in this thread so others can give more…

As others have said Romanian or stiff leg deadlift, cable pull throughs, hip thrusts. I also like the hamstring curl machine and cable kickbacks.

I just got some wireless over-the-ear JBL headphones, but I lift weights so I prefer something that goes over my head.

Also, just to note, yoga doesn't burn many calories and running only once or twice a week wouldn't cause a high enough deficit to mitigate any overeating or cheat meals.
-
You won't gain any muscle from just HIIT or spin classes as it's mostly just cardio. Are you eating back your exercise calories? My guess would be that you're overestimating how many calories you've burned and overeating and/or retaining water due to your new exercise routine.

+1 If you're just looking to grow your glutes there are much better glute specific exercises that you can do. Squats are going to grow your whole leg at the same time and if you're not doing it with correct form to activate your glutes then you might not get the results you want. ETA: I watched the video and it looks to me…

I saw him post about this on his IG. It basically found that doing a full ATG squat didn't work your glutes anymore than a parallel squat and that full, parallel and front squats work your glutes, quads, and hamstrings about the same even with using more weight on the parallel squat. He does still recommend doing the full…

Yea mine isn't syncing either. It's really frustrating. Hope it gets fixed! It's been like a week now since it stopped syncing for me.

To make 1200 calories on 50g of carbs and 40g of fat per day you'd have to eat 160g of protein which would mean lots and lots and lots of chicken breast, fish, lean meats, and egg whites. Ouch. I don't think you can feasibly do low carb AND low fat. Was there a medical reason for doing both?

Wait, huh? Since when was hot coffee gross? I generally only drink my coffee hot unless it's cold brew style. That seems like a weird thing to say. I do that! I use the chocolate flavor, throw in a little milk and mix it up in the blender bottle. It's really good!

Hi Chuck! I'm glad you found the courage to deal with your demons. Thank you for serving!

Yum! Ribs. We expect pics. Glad you made it through the race and got to finish! Congrats! Sucks you had so much trouble but yay for getting so much driving time and taking home some hardware.

I've been having trouble with my steps and negative calorie adjustments not being updated either. I've disconnected on both apps, reconnected, enabled step tracking, logged out and in and still nothing. I also use Polar Flow. The app and watch are syncing fine and my Health App on my iPhone is also syncing fine. It's just…

Checking into the thread. I was away in New Orleans this weekend! How was the race?
-
Ok, but also OP didn't gain muscle and lose fat at the same rate in the last 3 weeks. As others have said, it's likely water retention from her new exercise routines.
-
That has to be a minimum because that is a really sad amount of protein.
-
Extermicake!!

Darn I thought this would be about high carb treats. Where's that cake thread?
-
Wait, OP isn't losing weight meaning she is eating more than she's burning so she should add a protein shake to her diet? And actually what with the egg, salmon, couscous, and chicken she is getting quite a bit of protein. OP, I have 2 comments. 1. you seem to have oil in a lot of foods you eat. If you're going to continue…

That is not what she meant. Is 1200 cals already a deficit for you? Doing cardio will only serve to increase the deficit, but doing cardio will not help you lose weight by itself unless you're eating less than you burn. You don't need to decrease your calories if you're already at at a deficit.
-
Would you be open to getting a food scale to weigh what you're eating now and log your calories? Even if all you're eating is pizza, cake, ice cream and burgers all day you can log it all and eat to maintenance instead of feeling the need to fast for a few days to get the scales down. At your height/weight/age your BMR is…
-
Not if she's not lifting weights.
-
Why should she not do that? If she's doing it to increase her calorie burn it can only be beneficial in that regard as weight lifting itself doesn't really burn a significant amount of calories.
-
Her diary's not open and she didn't mention what she eats throughout the day so we don't know how much protein she's actually eating. It's entirely possible she does need all that extra protein, just choosing to mix it with highly caloric foods. What with all the oreos and ice cream that could easily be an extra 3500 cals…

Ok I did a little googling so don't quote me on this, but apparently BCAA's increase intracellular hydration so your muscles could just be a bit water-inflated causing the gain? I had a similar experience with a pre-workout that had creatine and just always felt a little wider than I wanted to because of it. Supposedly…

I'm still trying to find these in stores. Le sigh. Seriously though, if you like the cookie taste then maybe look for a cookies n cream flavored protein powder. Protein powder is usually sweet enough for me so you could switch to unsweetened almond milk for less added sugar. Throw in some fruit and/or greek yogurt. Good to…

No. Eat fewer calories and lift.

Why are crunches your only strength exercise?

LOLOLOLOL :D :D :D MFP is really on a roll tonight.

I just spend a good 20 minutes reading this entire thread and it was 100% worth it.
