I have had my Apple Watch since June and love love love it.

I use the built in Workout app for Yoga and Spin.
-
I am using the Workout app for all of my Spin classes. I have found the HR to be pretty accurate for me. I borrowed a strap one on one of my workouts and they were very close. I have been pretty happy so far.

So amazingly awesome!

Brilliant post OP!

So true. Love my watch

I pretty much cut out all alcohol: 1. Empty calories = would rather eat my calories 2. Alcohol makes me retain water 3. I don't sleep as well 4. After 2 glasses of wine I want to snack. Now that being said there have been plenty of times where I did drink, mostly on vacation and resolved to not losing as quickly during…

Make sure that you are allowing MFP to "read" data in the Sources section of Apple Health for Workouts.
-
Yeah, no complication yet.
-
Make sure that in the Sources section of the Apple Health app you allow MFP to read the data from Workouts.
-
The Workout app tracks total calories and active calories. Only active calories are sent to MFP. Total calories includes both the "burn" calories plus what you burned if you had not worked out. If you are not syncing the Apple Health app with MFP be sure that you are only manually logging the Active calories and not the a…

@jenathp Workouts does not directly sync with MFP. It syncs with the Apple Health app which then syncs with MFP. Go to your Apple Health app and click on "sources". Then click on MFP. Then scroll to where you "Allow MFP to read data". Then scroll all the way to the bottom and make sure that Workouts is selected green.

Yes, I will log. I am doing the cooking so I think it will be doable. The challenge will be how to log all of the "tasting" that will go on during prep.

I love a rare tenderloin. But then again, I also eat beef carpaccio and steak tartare which are both raw. Tenderloin is a very lean cut which is why it is so easily overcooked.

I have the Apple Watch Sport as well. I am not having that issue. I wear it pretty snugly though. Perhaps yours is not tight enough? It needs to be pretty snug for HR monitor to work properly.
-
I have the Apple Watch Sport. It is $349 in US so not cheap. But I was lucky enough to have won mine. It does way more than track fitness/workouts though. I have had it since July and love it.

I have noticed that too. And the slowness. They just released a new version of the app either today or yesterday that supposedly fixed a bunch of issues from the previous release.

Or it can just a way of tricking your mind into thinking it is eating. And getting water at same time. If you uncontrollably chew ice without a good reason for doing so then yeah, it might be because you have low iron. But if you are doing it consciously what's the harm? I like adding crushed ice to my water for that…

I had same issue. I think it was the latest update that caused the problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled and all is good now.

I don't have a good one for November yet. As of this week I have lost 59 with about 20 left to go.
-
Well done!
-
I gain a pound or two right before but it goes down steadily during. I always end up weighing less than when it began.
-
