I was 212 when I started, I lost 72lbs in 1 year, that averages to 6 lbs a month. I only aimed to lose 1lb per week. I didn't exercise. I think 10 lbs a month is too aggressive. You will put your body through starvation that maybe you can handle , but it might come back to bite you. Some people create bad habits or eating…

I haven't exercised at all and lost 72 lbs in 1 yr. I'm currently maintaining and staying at 140 lbs. It can be done.
-
Exactly what I tell everyone. Well said! Thank you. ☺

Almond milk, the 30 cal for 8 oz would be a good way to cut back and to still be able to add your sugar.
-
I've lost 70 lbs and went from a 40H to a 36DD.
-
I didn't do anything special, just ate smaller portions. I've lost 70.2 lbs in exactly 1 yr. and with no exercise. You have to be in a calorie deficit.
-
You just need to be in a calorie deficit. You have to eat less than what your body burns. I've lost 70.2 lbs and I have not exercised at all. I just eat smaller portions and I've lost it in exactly 1 yr.
-
I eat the same foods as I used to, just less of them. My portions are way smaller. I have lost 70.2 lbs and I didn't change what I eat. I'm a water drinker, so I don't/wouldn't waste my calories on those types of drink.

I'm on the pill and I've lost 70.2 lbs no problem. I was on the pill before I started my weight loss and I'm still on it.

I've been doing this since August of last year, 1 yr now and I've lost 70.2 lbs just by using MyFitnessPal. I haven't and don't exercise. I have the free version of MFP, and use a food scale. You can do this, you just have to log and count everything that goes into your mouth.

I woke up one day last year, this month actually and had it. I was tired of seeing the scale go up. Something just clicked this time and I was really serious about it and wanting to lose the weight. I set small goals and each time I met it, I set new ones. In 1 yr, I have lost 70.2 lbs. I'm in a healthy weight range. My…

Thank you for responding, and giving me this information. I have always had back and neck issues, even before gaining weight. At my highest weight I was a 40H. I'm now a 36 DD/ DDD. My breast tissue isn't the same. I thought breastfeeding my son would have changed them, nope, weight loss has. I would love to get them even…
-
Way to go!!! That's awesome! Oh, wow, how did you get your insurance to pay for a breast reduction?
-
I started MyFitnessPal at 212 lbs. I'm now 144 lbs, I've lost 68 lbs. I want to be 140, but seeing my stomach still has some fat, I think 130 might become my new goal. Edit to add: I'm 5'6. I'm currently in a US size 4 jeans, and Medium tops.
-
I have the opposite problem, lol. My stomach has gone down, but it seems like it's the last place to still have fat. I've lost 67 1/2 pounds, I'm at a healthy weight and im still wanting to lose because I'm not happy with my stomach. Ugh. :/
-
I'm 5'6. Before I lost weight, I was at 215 lb. I was in a 14/16 US jean size.
-
I would recommend buying a food scale, weigh and measure everything. Also, log everything you put in your mouth, even if it's just a little bite, the calories add up that way.
-
You can lose weight without exercise. I've lost 67.4 lbs with no exercise.
-
If its that loud, put everything in the blender, plug it in outside and blend away. Then at least the noise is outside.

5'6, 148 lbs, US size 4 jeans soon to be in a 2, 4's are getting baggy. Shirt size Medium.

Sara Lee 100% Whole Wheat.

Have you tried freezing a banana then blending it until it's the consistency of ice cream. You could also mash it then freeze it. This way you get ice cream, but healthy.
-
I eat bread all the time. I buy whole wheat 60 calorie per slice kind. It's so good. I've lost 62 1/2 pounds, and I didn't give up anything.
-
I've lost 59.4 lbs in 9 months without exercise.
-
As long as chocolate fits into your calories, you can eat it.
-
When I think of exercise, I do think of the gym, lol. You're right, it doesn't have to be.
-
I have lost 57 lbs with no exercise.
-
Thanks! I'll have to try this! ☺
-
I agree with this. I eat almost the same things (some healthier choices) as I did before, aND changed my portion sizes. I'm down almost 57 pounds in 8 months. I also agree with the person above, you need to evaluate what your nutritionist wants from you.

I also wanted to add, I've tried MFP 3 other times. It wasn't until this time that I was really doing it. This time was different.
