"Clean eating" has nothing to do with losing weight. Eating at a deficit does. Though it does help your health. Do you weigh your food on a food scale? How do you determine your exercise calories? Do you eat them back? Also you will not lose weight every week. Weight loss isn't linear. There will be weeks you lose nothing.…

This is the way I look at it. I started this January 6th. I spend approximately 5 minutes a day logging my food. I don't exercise. I've lost 45 pounds. So basically I've lost 45 pounds for under 11 hours of "work." I'll take it and continue to log!!!

I understand the coffee thing. I went from 1-16oz cup a day to one cup every other week. I like my 16oz coffee with 4 teaspoons of sugar and 4 tablespoons of flavored creamer. I don't do a cheat meal per say. But if I know I'm going out with friends for a special meal that I don't want to have to restrict too much I bank calories the rest of the week. If you eat 500 calories a day over time you'll not need to worry about the military kicking you out due to weight. They'll instead have to "kick you out" due to medical reasons. I weigh pretty much everything by grams. Even prepackaged ready to eat food. If I didn't weigh everything there's no way I would have lost 42 pounds this year already. I am terrible at eyeballing portions.

I use the Mission Carb Balance tortillas. 120 calories, 5g carb, 13g fiber each. Lovely way to pack in some fiber. Or their whole wheat version. They have 15g fiber each. Both taste great and are sturdy enough to hold up for any type meal.

There's no reason to include protein shakes unless you find yourself low on protein on a regular basis. Or unless you just enjoy them. I would add all ingredients in the recipe builder. Even though some sauce/juice will inevitably stay in the pot I'd rather overestimate then underestimate.
