I suffered terribly from postnatal depression, still not fully recovered and still suffering from anxiety. It's horrible. Feel free to add

Definitely agree about getting on a program. I do stronglifts and really like it, and then in between the compound exercises I'll do a few isolation exercises.

Bridges, lunges, hip thrusts, deadlifts, leg extensions, work outs with resistance bands (kick backs) etc

I was on fluoxetine and there were some days that working out was not on my mind at all. Hubby has had to really persuade me at times. I do enjoy it though because it gives me something to focus on

Great work I'm also curious like the previous poster!

Double cream - roughly 400kcal per 100ml Greek yoghurt - roughly 150kcal per 1/3rd of tub Bananas Add some ice cream... Those are some of my smoothie staples. I have a young child so mornings are a rush, I throw some stuff in the blender and have a breakfast that I can take to work with me in a shaker and that hits around…

Can't believe food in America is so affordable though! I'm reading these prices with despair. I think a tub of peanut butter at Tesco cost me about £2.50/£3, avocados - £1.80 etc

Double cream as well! 400~ calories per 100ml

Good luck with the run and your weight gain :)

My routine is stronglifts 5x5 (make sure to keep upping your weight the aim is to lift heavy) So for that it includes squats and deadlifts. Then I might throw in some single leg bridges and planks. Also lunges. I've seen some progress that I'm happy with in just under a month :)

My full name is crazy repetitive - has lots of the same letters in it, I don't think I'd do this as I prefer more varied workouts and when I workout I always have a plan of what I'll do that session, but I can totally appreciate its a good idea to give people some inspiration and to get people moving etc

Let's just remember that everything is fine in moderation, as part of a balanced diet. Have the chocolate and the ice cream, but make sure you're hitting your other food groups too and getting your fruits and veg in, your complex carbs etc

Well done for taking such a huge step! You can do this. It's a long road with ups and downs but we all believe in you. Take it one day at a time and remember we're all here for support. Feel free to add me if you want to chat.

I only started eating fish when I got pregnant and had occasional cravings for fish and chips! Now I eat salmon and cod but that's it. Still hate seafood and strong fish. Trying to work myself up to trying haddock and tuna again but you shouldn't force yourself to eat something if you really don't enjoy it.

I agree. 1000 deficit is a lot when you're also doing exercise. Healthy, nutritious snacks would be the way I'd go - before and after workouts. Bananas, eggs etc a nice smoothie lots of options :)

Ah you should be feeling better shortly then just stick to the corse of your medications and use the spray. I used to get loads of throat infections and tonsillitis and the difflam spray used to help so hopefully you'll be feeling more like yourself soon!

Let your body rest if you are sick. I normally power through if it's just a cold, but otherwise your body needs rest to recover. Have you seen a doctor and been given antibiotics or is it viral? If it's viral then your body has to fight it, and it can't do that when it's being pushed even further by working out.

Yeah I really enjoy strong lifts 5x5 :) and I like how it pushes me to progress and try new weight :) Pole is really fun :) after our 6th session we get a photo shoot with a local photographer to show off some moves. I used to hate my body but I'm really looking forward to this!
-
Ah I love planking! Wish I saw it sooner! I really lose track of time when I'm doing it, I just kind of buckle down haha :) Does anyone move their leg to the side then back to centre again as a challenge? :)
-
Hi ive just started pole and you need a really strong core! We also do tricep dips, squats, lunges and cardio in our warm up as well as stretches :) You do end up with lots of bruises and pole burn from practice though, but this goes with time. It's a good work out and can really make you ache! I've also been lifting for a…

Seems like these threads don't support iPhone Emojis. Oh, so what I was trying to get across through the single emoji was that Herbalife isn't worth it, and it's silly that rather than take medical fact on board the OP would rather close them-self off than listen to reason.

If you're eating at calorie surplus or even maintenance despite doing the exercise the weight won't go anywhere. You need to eat at calorie deficit and continue the exercise
-
Personally I like Tescos own honey Greek yoghurt

Uhh my husband used to sell herbal life and it's still a contentious subject between us. He thinks it's good and won't accept me telling him to just eat real food and that it's not good. Some gyms in my area are completely against it too. Really isn't worth it

I'm the same. Have no strength whatsoever only in my legs as I used to ski and snowboard. My upper body strength is atrocious so I'm trying to take it one session at a time and take it slower if I need to. Would rather challenge myself and get it done than push myself too far and hurt myself :)

You look absolutely amazing well done!

Feel sick at the tapeworm thing! But oh this thread is making me laugh so much!!! Not so much old dieting fads, but a few years ago I was with this guy and he and his family used to have loads of family gatherings. BBQs, meals out. It all involved food. His step mum was really overweight, and at these events would load her…
