Anyone else in the same boat ??
I was on cipralex (lexapro) for about 6 months and it was horrible. Made my depression worse and made me gain 15 pounds . Yay hahaha . I've been off for 2 months and have started Wellbutrin . Like it so far ... haven't gained any weight but haven't been able to lose any. I like to approach a healthy lifestyle with the 80/20 rule in mind, that way I don't get so over whelmed . I do 30 minutes of cardio 5 x a week along with 2 hot yoga classes. I don't eat a lot of dairy or wheat. I need some motivation or suggestions because it's sad seeing the weight not budge .

If you're eating at calorie surplus or even maintenance despite doing the exercise the weight won't go anywhere. You need to eat at calorie deficit and continue the exercise

I'm currently on Lexapro but never had an issue with it causing weight gain, I've never read that on the side effects. Everyone is different I guess. Also on Wellbutrin and no issues with it stalling or causing any gains. I think it causes some weight loss for some.

As the above poster shared instead of the drugs being the issue it could you're not eating at a calorie deficit like you think you are?

Are you tracking everything that goes in to your mouth? Using a food scale for all the solid foods, measuring cups for all the liquids? That's absolutely vital if you're having an issue with losing when it feels to you you're doing everything right. If you don't weigh and measure all the food you won't have any idea how close or far off you are from tracking your food.

I gained weight on pills....ONLY because I stuffed my face...yes a side effect is hunger so therefore possible weight gain due to excess calories but I was the one that ate when I didn't really have to.
