  • When I workout in the morning, I usually have a piece of peanut butter toast. But it has to be about an hour before I workout, otherwise it makes me feel sick :p After, I usually have a protein shake, but I am not sure how that would work for you if you are going straight to work from the gym. Do you have a kitchen at work…
  • I wear a HRM but I have stopped adding my workout calories into MFP. It just gets too confusing. I know my food really well, and if it's a day after a hard workout, I will usually add a little extra to what I eat.
  • The Beachbody meal plans are laid out pretty good once you get the hang of them. But prep really is key. I am so disorganized and all over the place, half my veggies go bad because I grab quick junk when I am in a hurry instead of that! So like the other posters suggested, I try to prep everything. Have everything cleaned…
  • Oh geeze! Feel better!!
  • There is a great website called Simple Green Smoothies. They post amazing recipes! Plus they have some with a little extra fat/protein to help keep you full a little longer.
  • Age:30 Height: 5'7 SW:200 CW:165 GW:145 calories eaten 1600 calories burned 300-450 depending on the days exercise I just started a 3 week program, so my calories eaten and burned are a little low, but it will go back up to 2000/500 soon. My goal is to lose about 15-20 more pounds and to start building more muscle
  • That is so awesome! I did Abs yesterday, and had to modify what Tania was doing! We'll get there!
  • I'll double up with what every one said, add about 500 calories for breastfeeding, and eat back about half your exercise calories. It can be a little harder to lose weight when you are nursing, don't let that discourage you! Make sure you are drinking plenty of water!
  • You could do a hybrid, switch it every other day. But there is no need to put that much high level cardio in one day. If anything, if you want to double up, do T25 and add strength training, not Insanity. That is just a quick way to get hurt.
  • Number one question...Are you eating enough? You need to fuel your body for serious, hardcore workouts like Insanity, especially if you are going to be adding more to it? Second...have you taken your measurements and Body fat %? The scale might not move, but you are probably looking better. Third...You are doing great!…
  • Look at the labels of the peanut butter you are buying. I did, and was shocked. So now I just try to get all natural, too. I also just jumped on the Almond butter bandwagon. Oh So Good!
  • I really like Chelean Extreme. You just got to find what works for you. A soul mate workout, really. Whether it's a home video or at the gym. JM was not it for me. I couldn't stand her or the workouts. Chalene isn't as chippy in CLX, but still really good.
  • Strength and weights helped so much for me! Especially doing those squats and lunges while holding weights! There is actually a DVD out called Brazilian Butt Lift. My friend has it, it's actually pretty awesome. I'm thinking about getting it! lol
  • I am really not sure what my GW is now. Originally it was 135, but my CW is 137 and I have a lot of work I want to be. I really want to tone up more, so I'm not sure if the scale will go up with that.
  • List to your body. DOMS can last any where from 24-48 hours. Mine always come on later, and if I always rested through, I would only work out twice a week! Cold shower, a good post recovery snack, and keep moving. Listen to your body, but know the difference between hurt and sore. You can push past sore and usually feel…
  • Strong and healthy always wins. As a woman, we won't naturally bulk up when we strength train. We become lean and toned. Nothing could be better. But it really is up to you. As long as you have a healthy self image, that's all that matters. Take it where ever you want to go!
  • Definitely! Your face has a huge difference! It might be uncomfortable for you, but maybe try wearing a little more form fitting shirt, or just your sports bra. You'll be able to see results better! And of course, measurements too!
  • So back to your original point... there is a lot of fillers and sugar is Slim Fast, that's why it taste so good! You should play around with recipes and find a good one to make yourself! It will save you money and be a lot healthier! This was a fun post to read! Thanks for fueling this fire!
  • Start using more weights.
  • Yup, all that! I try not to eat when I am not hungry, but I keep eat meal/snack around 300 calories, so that way I am almost always hungry after about 3 hours
  • I do heavy weights every other day. I read when you work a muscle to fatigue like that, it needs almost 48 hours to recover. And generally, I try to work as much as possible...squats with an over head press. Lunge with lats, etc. Upper and lower at the same time
  • Clean eating and weights. The ab fat can be one of the last to go, so you need to work all the big muscles to burn that fat.
  • Don't get sugar free, it's aspartame and not worth it. If you need to get syrup, ask for half the amount. It really isn't bad to treat once in a while.
  • I haven't done NROL4W yet, I have read a lot about it though. But I have done P90X. I think learning a new routine will push you further. It's always a good idea to change it up. I love strength training, but only 1 or 2 rounds of P90X is all I need before I find something new
  • You could try different P90X schedules, like doubles. But it honestly just sounds like it's time to change it up.
  • How long have you been doing this? And have you changed your workout routine? Usually the first week or so you can hold onto water weight
  • Congrats on the new job! If you up your calories, I would go slow with it, maybe only 100 calories a week at a time, just to see how your body handles it!
  • Check out Lindsay Brin and her site, Moms Into Fitness! She has great stuff on there for eating and working out! Congrats!!

  • I love greek yogurt, also I eat a lot of beans! Love making black bean wraps. Pumpkin seeds and flax seeds are another of my favorite. Trader Joe's makes a couple of good protein powders. Sun Warrior is a popular one, and I just saw a new Hemp protein powder that I am going to try!
