  • I haven't done it yet, but I have it! I'm starting April 1. I have heard nothing but awesome reviews so I'm hoping it will help me lose the last 10 lbs. I'm really excited!!
  • I like the more intense HIIT work out Turbo Fire. I did Turbo Jam to get the turbo kick work out at home and liked it, but I wanted something to take me to the next level, so I got Turbo Fire. I love it!!
  • Hi there, I just sent you a friend request! I'm a full time working mom of two- my son is 4 and my daughter is 2.5. I'm pretty far into my weight loss journey, but I've been trying to lose the last 10 lbs since last April! I love having this community to keep me motivated and accountable!
  • Great job! You look great!
  • If you do Turbo Jam first, it will give you a great foundation to do Turbo Fire later, if you want. Do the modified versions on both if your knee or ankle give you any problems. Do you have a free Beachbody coach already? And don't feel bad about the athletes foot! I did the same thing about three times a few years ago!
  • Don't give up! It's great that you're seeing a change in inches and your clothes. It's also awesome that you've noticed an increase in your strength and endurance! I measure myself once a month- anything more drives me nuts! Good job!!
  • Have you previously done Insanity? I really only recommend Turbo Jam to anyone who has never worked out before or needs something low intensity. I have done both and Turbo Fire is one of my favorites! Feel free to message me if you have questions!
  • Sure! Feel free to friend me if you want!
  • Try to really track all calories. You could be eating a bit to much that you are maintaining instead of losing. In order not to snack, I try to stay out of the kitchen past 7 pm. My husband is a big help with this. Also- YES- add weights. I broke my plateau by cutting out sugar, trying to eat as clean as possible, and by…
  • You can't eat less- need to fuel your body or your metabolism will slow down. Avocados, lean protein, nuts or nut butters, apples....good luck!
  • I try to be in bed and asleep by 10:30 pm. I have my alarm set for 5:05 AM. I've found if I go to be too early, I wake up closer to 4 AM. Ideally, I'd like 7-8 hours a night.
  • It's ok! When you shock your body with so much change, it will surprise you! It's also probably some water weight. Keep up the good work!
  • This is a place to come ask questions and give support. Congrats on your weight loss!
  • I just wanted to say I'm sorry this happened to you and your family! The only thing I really deal with is a dad who is a severe diabetic and is slowly killing himself. I've had to stand by and watch this because he doesn't want to change. It's been an emotional roller coaster. I do try and focus on the good things in life…
  • It really bothers me that people can be snarky and mean here. If you see a post on a topic you've seen 100 times, just ignore it. No need to jump in and be rude.
  • Check out YouTube- they have a ton of work outs on there. All different kinds too!
  • You should be very proud of yourself! The fact that you're trying Insanity is inspiring! It's not an easy work out, and you do have to start somewhere! I started out the fat girl too and when I bought P90X, even I thought I was nuts! Good job and keep it up!!
  • I don't think it is enough, I'm sorry. I wasn't sure what was so great about weights, but once I was lifting enough to make a difference and saw the changes, I was in love with it! I love seeing how heavy I can go (which is only like 17 lbs! LOL!) Work your triceps for the arms!
  • Hi, There's not much you can do but to keep lifting. I would look into strength training 5-6 times a week and layer cardio on that. It will take some time though, but that is your best bet. I lift as heavy as I can and I think it's definitely helping me and I have quite a lot of excess skin. Good luck!
  • This is a great article! I highly recommend it!!!
  • I would say 'thank you." Even if I don't believe the person, it was nice of them to voice their positive opinion!
  • I drink Shakeology almost everyday but not as a replacement- just a main breakfast staple along with egg whites or grapefruit. Overall, along with a healthier almost paleo diet, , it's improved my digestion and energy. When I compared it to others, it has the most natural and healthiest ingredients. Plus, I really love my…
  • 1300 should be good, as long as you add the exercise calories in, and eat that total. Eat quality calories to hit that number, just not anything to hit that number. Please keep me posted on how it goes!! I also blog about my journey http://www.fitfiercemama.blogspot.com Good luck!!!
  • Hi there, First off, congrats on the weight loss!!! I know you know this, but please, please consider stopping Phentermine sooner rather than later. In the long run, it is unhealthy, isn't really teaching you how to get into healthier eating habits, and you'll gain the weight back. I was overweight my entire life- I've…
  • I had a shift around 75 lbs (which wasn't that long ago) where my goal to lose weight shifted to become toned and tightened and healthy. Now I lift heavier and eat almost completely clean. I'm trying these things to see if I can reach a new goal of being toned and really fit looking. I hope this helps some!
  • Honestly, I don't push my healthy eating on the kids (or my husband) as much as I should. I know I should, but I'm starting slowly with them. I make sure they have fruit at every meal and try to get a veggie in them once a day. They are four and 2.5 and very stubborn. Sometimes I hold out because I know they'll eat…
  • Hi and Welcome!
  • I agree with this- if you have enough quality foods and you're full, I wouldn't tell you to keep eating. I do overall believe it is extremely important to eat enough calories to fuel your body. I was plateaued for about 10 months because I wasn't eating enough. There are things you can eat that aren't huge portions that…
  • Hi there- do you have any weights or do any strength training? I'd still work out, but if you prefer to the elliptical or running, I'd do some type of interval training. Good luck!
  • You definitely need to eat enough calories while doing Insanity. You need to eat enough to fuel your body. I definitely always recommend eating back your exercise calories. Especially since MFP starts you at a deficit. Sweet potatoes are an excellent source of complex carbs. Why exactly do you want to add the 30 day Shred…
