I'm a working mom in my 30's and I have around 120-150 I need to loose. I would love to make some FB friends dedicated to this journey and friends with those who already have loss 100 lbs or more. I need to know and surround myself with the fact that this is a possibility without surgery.

I'm going to say that you're probably still building muscle. Don't worry about weight so much and start tracking inches. You're probably loosing fat and replacing it with muscle. I wouldn't be concerned unless you're inches don't move.

I'm in the same boat. I don't know why, but when I see a gain, my internal drive just quits even though I still want to keep going. I just don't get it. Before I know it, I'm back to my old eating habits again. :(

I personally use the Smart Ones breakfast quesadilas alot. They also have english muffin sandwiches with eggs and canadian bacon. You can pop them in the microwave and run. Low calorie, high nutrition. Also, any of the Jimmy Dean turkey bacon and turkey sausage sandwiches are good.

The number one ingredient in my diet Coke is "carbonated WATER". There have been many days in my life that the only drink I've had all day is diet coke (yes I'm a hardcore addict). I have yet to die of dehydration. Yes caffeine is a diuretic but only to a point.

I found the machines to be way more accurate than MFP. Error on the cautious side and go with the lesser count. Overestimating could lead to a lack of weight loss or a gain if you're eating your activity calories.

I agree with the previous reply. Try weigh every other week or once a month. Stay off the scale and focus on what you need to do to make sure the next time you step on it, you're satisfied with what it gives you. Your weight can fluctuate for so many reason, like sodium content, bloat, constipation, fiber content,…

You look AMAZING! Thanks for sharing.

My experience with anything slim fast is the sugar in it gives me a rush and then a crash. I am hypoglycemic an hour after having it and extremely hungry. Stay away from them. They're mostly just carbs. It may help to look at what you're having to see if you have the right combination of fat, protein and carbs. Too many…

You look amazing! Great job!

My experience is, if you feel it going into your chest, stay home. Let your lungs rest. You can't breath well enough to get a good workout in already and you'll make it worse. Plus, your fellow gym goers will appreciate you not spreading the germs. :) If you feel like you have to get some physical activity in, go for a…

I find that when I exercise, I don't need as much sleep. But I find sleep to be more fun :)

Me too.

I agree. We went from one extreme to another in my house. I was so confused and would hoard junk food because I thought it would be taken away. Finding the balance is the key.

My Alli experience isn't the greatest. The first time I tried it, I was plateued on the Weight Watchers plan. I figured it would give me a nice little boost. It was going fine, some oily stools that were not pleasant to be around, but that's what its supposed to do. I do think it was helping get the weightloss going again.…

And let me clarify, don't skip breakfast if you're really hungry. It won't help in the long run.

I'm going to have to agree with this. As a kid, I never ate breakfast and never missed it. By lunch, I was ready to eat but not starving and could enjoy a bigger supper. Then, some school propaganda said I was "bad" for not eating breakfast and then our school breakfast program started. So, I started eating the school…

Thanks for your post. The encouragement I needed on a "hungry" day. :)

I have the same issue. In the past, the discouragement from it has totally derailed my diet plans. I'm going to try the approach to weigh in only once a month and schedule it for the week AFTER. I don't know if I can stay away from the scales that long though.

I have to agree. Keep it tidy but keep it grown.

AWESOME!!!! Way to go. Keep it up so you can go back and buy a smaller one. :)
