  • May I ask...how do you log hula hooping on MFP?
  • I am 5'4" and my goal weight is 120. I am at 132 right now. Technically, I am within the range and my BMI is perfect. However, I've got baby belly and flabby arms that make a tank top a joke. I guess, we all have to find the place that is right for us. My major focus is INCHES because the numbers on a scale weight…
  • Just got my Fluidity Bar yesterday and am going to start with it today. We looked at reviews online from 3rd party sites (didn't think to check here) and am stoked about it. My question is: HOW DO YOU LOG IT HERE ON MFP? Ballet? Yoga? I don't know what to use because Fluidity isn't in the database. Thanks! Joy
  • Maybe it was something specific about that type of shake? I personally do not take protein shakes, but meal replacement shakes and always come in low on the calories...but of course it depends on what you add to it as well. Maybe he can enlighten you as to what he learned that taught him that? If you are getting results…
  • I really enjoy the Just Dance series. We got #3, but I actually prefer the songs on #2. I haven't really tried any others, like Zumba or wii Fit... we rent through GAMEFLY and compile a list of those we want to keep... but since I have to take turns with games for the kids and games I want to try, it can take awhile until…
  • Thank you for sharing that link. I was able to try them out, with my hand weights, right in front of the computer...felt the burn!
  • Thanks everyone... common brand in the posts so far was Asics. I will keep an eye on the posts, do my research and definitely make sure I am properly fitted for them. Thanks again everyone!
  • a bikini! have not worn one in my entire adult life (had my first child at 17)
  • Good luck! Can't wait to see your results. It is an amazing program. Many of my friends have done it too. Not sure if I want to embark on it or do Turbo Fire instead.
  • I am lousy at push ups myself. I watched a video where this guy was over 300 pounds and he did revised push ups, so now ai do too. Anywhere I am, I find a sturdy surface, grab tight with my hands and brace my feet so I am at an angle...I do 20 push-ups right there. I use window sills, counter tops, desks, bathroom sink,…
  • you look amazing! congrats. Turbojam is one of my FAVS!
  • but, I didn't answer your question, did I? Sorry. I don't actually have a way to manage the pre-exercise stress. I'm looking forward to the other feedback you get here to help me, too.
  • I do understand where you are coming from. I often dread going to exercise, but feel AWESOME and PROUD when I have finished. I guess I need to do it a lot more often to remember that GOOD feeling. I've gotten so bad about exercising since some personal issues developed at home.
  • I am surprised my state (NJ) is not on there. COnsidering there is a McDonalds, BK and Dunkin Donuts across the street from one another every mile or two. Okay, that was an exaggeration...LOL... but you know what I mean.
  • I can only reiterate what has already been said... 1) Great post title! 2) Keep moving forward. You will get past the tough spots and my personal thought.... have a bar of plain chocolate. Then exercise a bit and shave a few calories from one of your snack meals. Chocolate doesn't really have all that much in calories. Or,…

  • I have purchased pasteurized egg whites and add them to everything...an ounce has quite a few grams of protein, and you can mix it in a smoothie, pasta, whatever you want. Of course, egg dishes as well, such as an omelet, scrambled eggs, etc. I add it to one whole egg when I make my kids breakfast (whether I do over easy…
  • Beto (Perez) himself says that even if you can't get the moves quite right, just keep going and freestyle it. At home, I do the DVDs and I lose it once they add more than one body part (steps + arms) *LOL* , so I stand in place and take the steps, instead of hopping back and forth, to get used to moving and to keep my HR…
  • Hi everyone, I am Joy. I am 36 married and the mom of 5. My oldest is 18 and my youngest will be 5 in July. I work full-time as a Veterinary Technician. I love Zumba and am just getting back to my Beto DVDs after joining Team Beachbody. I also work one of the Beachbody programs every other day. I am looking forward to…
  • That's good to know...thanks for sharing. I will add it under that section (I had forgotten about doing that). Zum-zum-zumba! :)
  • Hi Zumba crew! I am going to be using my Zumba dvds at home again and was wondering... how do YOU log it in your exercise tracker, since it isn't in the database? Do you use "dance" or some otherr category? I want credit for sweating my butt off...LOL Thanks!
