  • Hey, I'm 29 and also need to lose 100 pounds! Just got started recently, after many failed attempts. I definitely need the support, so I'm going to add you. B)
  • Seriously incredible!! What a huge difference!! I'm sooo jealous over here!! Keep it up! I'm looking forward to the goal weight pictures :D
  • You're soooo close to onederland!! Keep going!! You can do it!
  • You're nipping it in the bud!! 24 pounds is NOTHING compared to what you lost before! Don't beat yourself up. I've heard that weighing yourself daily can help prevent re-gaining weight. If you set a "Red flag" weigh that you absolutely don't let yourself go above-- if you hit that weight, you go back to counting calories…
  • I fell off the wagon for the 5000000th time but I'm back on it. Slow and steady..!
  • Huge thanks to everyone posting in this thread with their pictures and encouraging words!! It's really amazing to see how different body types carry weight, too. I hope I can contribute my own success pictures someday!
  • Thanks for the friend request! I'm doing alright so far, but it's a long and bumpy road, haha! Gotta keep myself accountable and remember that it's worth it, hahaaa
  • Wow, you look awesome!! Might I mention, you carry your weight really well!! I guess that means you're going to have a great figure when you get close to your goal weight! Congratulations on your hard work!!
  • Yeah, I worry about the same thing. I have to eyeball and estimate the portions. Not to mention that I'm also just guessing what some things are.. The lunches always end up really high-calorie for me, because of the rice. It' s a bad habit to eat so much rice since it's not even filling for me~!
  • Fantastic!! I don't even remember when I was in the 170s... the 180s are a curse for me, too! I had a LOT of years bouncing around in them... Here's hoping to be down in the 170s soon :D Congratulations!
  • AMAZING!! What a difference!!! Obviously, I need to get off my bum and keep on trucking with the 30DS.. no more excuses.
  • I don't have an HRM but I do have a scale for the kitchen. It's great especially for making ready-to-go portions of snacks, or figuring out the calories in a recipe.. basically, I would recommend investing in a good digital kitchen scale. It's really comforting to know that you're using an accurate measurement and not just…
  • First love = true love In fighting/shounen kind of things big boobs = more powerful. (There are exceptions, such as Lina Inverse. And these characters are usually underestimated due to their lack of big boobies.) THE POWER COMES FROM THE BOOBIES. I have a whole series of effin things i noticed while raging at Inu-yasha. I…
  • Same for me.. a figure like Marilyn's! I have her measurements (at least according to her seamstress) written out and i'm aiming for them. She's definitely bustier than I am, but besides that I think it's pretty achievable figure.
  • Nice butt!! (Sounding like a creeper here.. ahahah) No, seriously, what a huge improvement in only 3 weeks.. I'm majorly impressed! I have to remember this one! Definitely something to remember for people getting closer to their goal weights. Congratulations on your awesome progress so far! :D
  • I don't think I've ever outed anybody.. or witnessed anybody being outed. Which is great, because it sounds super awkward for everybody involved. Back home int he USA, I don't try to hide it at all an everyone knows it can be spoken of openly. But I currently live and work in South Korea. If I get outed at work, I'll…
  • Haha. I guess I'm pretty feminine for a lesbian. I wear dresses pretty often when I go out and my hair is currently long. (Sometimes I chop it off, but it's super long.) I also wear makeup. I used to be mostly attracted to kinda butchy, mostly androgynous.. chapstick lesbian types, haha. And only thin girls, mostly taller…
  • I agree with the previous poster. My best friend and former roommate was eating disordered. I know that you might think that it's not a big deal and it's under control, but you really need to seek out some help. MFP probably isn't the best place to be if you're struggling with an eating disorder.
  • Hm.. i bet you can do it on the stovetop. At home my mom sometimes puts it all in a shallowish glass dish and bakes it. But I'm not much of a cooking whiz, so, I can't help you out, haha. I just got the chicken breasts today. Gonna toss everything in the slow cooker tomorrow before work.. so excited!!
  • Don't let small-minded idiots control the way you feel about yourself or your body. It's your body, your business, and your right to be wherever the hell you want with it. If they don't like it, they can take themselves elsewhere.
  • How much weight do you need to lose? Also, are you making sure to drink enough water? You really have to get 8-9 glasses or the scale won't budge. Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about it.. it could just be fluid retention, either due to dehydration or hormones. Try to jumpstart your metabolism by drinking water first…
  • Preschool teacher here. I think the daycare is right to ask him to pick up the toys he's used. Ideally, he should be putting things away after he uses them, unless another child has asked to play with that toy. I understand that there will be children flinging toys about and not following the rules at all. Your child…
  • I'm actually a pretty awful cook, myself.. I don't have much in my repertoire. But one thing I know how to cook is easy! In my family we just call it "salsa chicken". All you need is a far of salsa, a can of cream of mushroom soup ("healthy" version if possible), and chicken breasts. toss them in a slow cooker with some…
  • That guy is a douche. You wouldn't want someone you loved to stay in relationship where they felt so devalued. Why would you permit yourself to stay in a relationship like that? Treat yourself more preciously than that.
  • Keep in mind that the first few weeks will include a few pounds of water weight-- eating healthier and staying hydrated means that your body is finally letting go of some of the extra water it used to hold onto! This isn't a bad thing, of course. It's naturally going to happen. It's not fat loss, but it is a loss on the…
  • I'm gonna throw away / give away absolutely all of my "fat" clothes and start my wardrobe over completely with pieces i love. But I havent thought of anything else yet.. need to start thinking about it!
  • I actually just searched the local lotte mart, and found one. There may have been 2-- but the other one looked kinda weird to me, not like the slow cookers im used to seeing. so im not sure if it was a slowcooker or not. ANyway, I picked one up. Pretty excited to use it sometime soon! Haha. Now I just have to find the…
  • WE have the same starting weight, i'm just an inch shorter than you and 2 years older.. I hope my results are as great as yours!! Thanks for sharing!!
  • Hey Hattie! I'm also 5'4", and I'm at 221 right now. I'm 25 and I live in South Korea, so we might have a bit of time online at the same time. Anyway, uh, I need to get down to 145, at least (according to BMI). But being relatively small-boned, I think that 130 might be better.. but I'm gonna re-evaluate once I get…
  • I love fish!! and all seafood!!! I don't see how you couldn't. If you get a chance, try eating some super fresh fish.. totally different from frozen stuff. But that depends on geography, haha. :D Anyway, try salmon (we put fillets in foil baggies, with just a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of garlic salt). Tuna steak…
