Thats how I did it...cold turkey...2 years ago. It was rough for the first week. I kept sugar free toffees close at hand and that helped some. Truthfully, I wanted to stab everyone that spoke to me in the eye for about a week..but we all survived it! You can do this!!

I would love to lose 100 this year! That would take me to a bit below goal (which is still over the recommended for my height). I need all the support I can get...add me! :flowerforyou:

Weight loss surgery is simply another tool in your arsenal. It certainly isnt the "easy way out" and I always tell people that are contemplating surgery to please understand...it is not a cure for obesity. It is a great tool...dont get me wrong. I think a lot of times people shun the idea because they believe simply hard…

Some awesome advice you got there already! I also work nights (7PM-7AM) and it is a challenge. I set my diary up in blocks of hours instead of the traditional "Breakfast, lunch, dinner" blocks since I eat at all times of the day. I just try to keep my calories in line over a 24 hour period, no matter what time I eat. I…

-
Yup....not only did I fall off the wagon, I was dragged behind ot for a couple of miles and stomped on my the horse. Recommitted today after sucking it up and admitting my 13 pound weight gain! Back to basics...

I have been slowly increasing my calories trying to make it up to a 20% cut. I think I am about there now and hoping I will see the scale start moving again. I am trying to break a 3 month long stall. I am one of those people that lost a lot of my weight on a VLCD (less than 1000cal) over several months. I probably should…

bump to try later!

I pretty much eat what I want as long as it fits into my macros and daily calories. If it is a treat then I make room for it. Drink lots of water and get enough protein...move your body as much as you can

bumpity!

I was a 28 that was too tight....currently a 16...a little over a year to get there. Still going!
-
I kept plenty of sugar free toffees around and chewed a *lot* of gum! I wanted to stab everyone I talked to in the eye for about 2 or 3 weeks...but it passed  Congrats! That is a hard thing to quit! :flowerforyou:

the only other suggestion I can offer is that since you are eating exercise calories, make sure you are not over estimating the burn. MFP tends to over estimate calorie burn in my opinion.
-
initially those muscles are going to hold some water weight....it will start coming. Just keep going. Building muscle is going to make your body burn fat more efficiently. Take your measurements and go by that...it gives you a more accurate picture of whats going on than a scale will.

my surgeon actually recommended arms and breasts together. Of course, I am not ready for the tummy yet...still have weight to lose.
-
Prices dont seem bad at all really. I am planning to have both arms done and a breast lift with (tons) of skin removal. I dont want to finance it so I am saving and hope to be able to get it done by Christmas break. My cost for both procedures together? s12,500...not too shabby really.

Ugh...I have been bouncing the same 2-3 pounds back and forth for almost 2 months. I gotta get over this plateau or I will go mad! Feel free to add me!
-
Well..not over 50...but I am 48 so close enough! I know it seems like a lot..but take it 10 pounds at a time and before you know it you will be there. I still have 60 to go, but I will get there!

woot! A 2 month old horse!

if you layer these with wax paper they keep really well the fridge. I make dessert with them sometimes by taking ricotta cheese and flavoring it with some sugar free syrup of my choice and spreading it on the "pancake". Then, roll it up like a sort of canoli, top it with a little cool whip and sliced fresh fruit for…

in my opinion MFP sets the protein goal too low and the carb goal too high. I typically get around 100 gm protein a day. As long as you are staying within your calorie allotment I wouldn't stress about it.
-
feel free to add me....have actually lost 135...still need about 60 or so to go!

anyone can feel free to add me :flowerforyou:
