I also work nights and have to agree...pack your lunch and take it with you. Stay out of the cafeteria and away from the vending machines. There is never anything good for you there! I even pack snacks such as protein bars, trail mix, fresh fruit or greek yogurt. That helps satisfy that "late in the shift munchie attack".…

I say make healthy choices the rest of the day. You will be over on calories today but thats ok. Its just one day..own it! Try to maybe get in a workout if you can today to help offset it. One day of high calories isnt going to kill you

Although my ticker doesn't show it, I have actually lost 135 pounds from my highest weight

Not only is he being abusive...not critical...he knows he is. Thats why he tells you not to discuss it. Been there...done that. I had (HAD) a hubby that was controlling, over critical and effectively cut me off from my family and friends. I kept thinking it would change..it didnt. I am so sorry. Best of luck to you. Maybe…

Stick to liquids for as long as your doctor recommends. You have had major surgery and there is a lot of stitching in there that needs to heal. Don't be in a hurry and concentrate on getting in your fluids and protein. Head hunger is something that you will always battle. Surgery doesnt get rid of it. Surgery is an amazing…

Congrats on your graduation! Getting through boards and starting a new job can be stressful...but get through it as best you can! Feel free to add me if you like. I am currently in grad school while working full time so I know how the stress can make it hard to put your health first!

My advice? Increase your calories a bit and start lifting....heavy. The more muscle you tone and build the more effectively your body burns fat.

No..you arent...I was 300 when I started here, highest weight was 335. You got this!

Everyone is different and you will just have to experiment really. I tried little bites of stuff until I figured out what worked for me and what didnt. Beans went down well from the very beginning. Eggs...not so much. I can finally tolerate them now t one year out. I do very well with beef and seafood...chicken is hit or…

I look in hte mirror and *still* see the 135 pounds that I have lost. They say your brain catches up. Occasionally I get a glimpse in a mirror and dont recognize me...but then the old image is right back there again.

I am also in that situation. Months of eating super low cal 400-600 cal a day (I had weight loss surgery) worked great for some quick weight loss..but it does a number on your metabolism. I have had to find ways to increase my calories to a healthy level while not being able to eat large volumes. I eat a higher protein…

Very best of luck to you! I think your dreams are terrific and very attainable. Just think of the life experience you will be able to bring to your future career. I really believe that people that have gone through a certain situation always make better healers and coached because you have been there...you get it. I am…

First of all...you are amazing for taking the steps to get healthy. It is difficult. Start slow, take it in little chunks. If you start out thinking about how much you want to lose total it seems too big to achieve. A lot of the work we have to do is absolutely mental. Speaking only for myself, I know I did not eat my way…

Mine fell out the most between months 3-7. There really isnt anything you can do to stop it...just encourage new growth. Get your protein in, take your vitamins, biotin may help also. I took it for about the first 8 months. I used a gentle keratin infused shampoo to keep my hair healthy and strong. Don't pull it back too…

Sounds like fun! I am in also! Do we just post here our progress? ETA: I like that exercise ticker..how can I do that?

Alot of it is based on genetics, and how long you were overweight. Everyone is different. Keep hydrated and moisturized. What is going to go back..will. If it doesn't all go back there is always surgery...or live with it. I have loose skin now and it gets worse daily  I figure its better than fat filled skin any day…

Eat at a deficit, move more  I tried holding my scale upside down and slapping the cr*p out of it...but that approach didn't help me much!

Congrats on taking that first step! I can remember when my size 28's were to tight and I was reduced to only wearing things that stretch! It seems like a long road to go, but you will get there! I keep plugging away at mine. I still have another 70 pounds to go before I hit my goal...but hit it I will!

I've seen this a few times...yeah ...I cried...darn it! Such a great story....excuse me while I get off my *kitten* and go work out now!
