  • I started 80 day obsession a few days ago. Today will be day 4 (AAA day). Loving it so far!
  • Thanks for the reply. I don't necessarily have a guilt feeling about indulging one day. What I'm more concerned about is my stomach rebelling against that same idea. Has anyone ever had a carb day after a while? What was the result? I know when I did the lowered fat and calorie diet for a while and then ate a greasy…
  • I did Max Internal Circuit yesterday. I didn't notice the Nintendo music. I think I was too busy listening to my heart beat in my chest and my gasps for air! I read a review for Max Plyo and I must admit that I'm terrified!

  • Confession: I totally skipped the fit test yesterday. It was already almost 7:30 by the time I got home from the grocery store after work and knew that I'd have an hour workout before I was able to eat dinner. And, the fact that I was scared of the workout. I feel a little guilty...
  • I'm starting this today too. How long is the video and how should I track it? I dont' have a HRM so I usually track other videos as circuit training, except cardio recovery (which I tracked as yoga or pilates).
  • I also do Insanity, so Sunday is my rest day. I usually do Saturday morning so I can get ti out of the way and enjoy the rest of the day. I actually really wish my rest day was Friday instead of Sunday though. I could be easy to slip in a workout while I'm waiting for a load of laundry to finish!
  • I'm also finishing month 1 after my workout tomorrow. I have to do pure cardio/cardio abs tonight then ply tomorrow morning and I'm finished. Woohoo! I made a Debbie Downer post the other day about not losing weight too, but someone said to me yesterday, "Your arms are looking more toned." Really? Nice! So, I hope that…
  • I do it barefoot on carpet in my living room. I was a gymnast for many years so I'm used to running and jumping barefoot. Jumping exercises with shoes on feels clunky to me.
  • I already did my workout for the day. Got up at six and did Insanity Cardio Power and Resistance, but I'll try to find a way to sneak in 60 crunches somehow!
  • My goal is 20lbs by the end of the year. I think it's doable if I stay consistent.
  • I'll join! I also have wedding in December that I'm in, so that's motivation to stick to a plan long after the summer season is over.
  • For cardio. I do Insanity but the music doesn't get me going that they have on the video so I turn off the music and play my own. I heart radio is an app that I have downloaded to my phone. I have some stations on there but I end up skipping a bunch of songs b/c they either slow down or I don't care for them. The LMFAO…
  • There's not one that I like all of, but I like them all. I will say that there are definitely parts of each that I don't like, but it's mainly because I always have to stop and take a break during it. Like, the ski-abs in Plyo Circuits, the switch kicks in Pure Cardio and the first set of squat holds in Recovery. I think…
  • I have a trip to Vegas for a bachelorette party in October, so when I get tired, I yell "Vegas" during every basketball drill. lol. It has also helped me during week two that I turn off the music on the video and play music from my phone that is inspirational and fun to me. Helps keep me going!
  • I did 2.5 weeks of insanity a couple of months ago, but then my schedule is the thing that got insane! I was gone from 8am until 10:30pm almost every day. Tried doing it before work a couple times but I was so run down I wanted to cry :( So, my schedule is back to being almost normal again. I restarted last Monday, the…
  • I would say it's recovery from the running around and jumping like a maniac. It's a lot of squats and yoga holds. I still sweat but my heartrate wasn't nearly as high (I just completed week one). It was difficult, but in a different way than the other videos. it's also a bit shorter I think. Just do what you can and eat…
  • I just finished my week one too! Today is my rest day. Honestly, I feel kind of weird NOT doing a video today. I'll weight tomorrow morning. Doubt I've lost any weight, but as I was driving to work this morning, I felt my tricep and was like, "NICE!"
  • I just started yesterday too! Fit test was okay, but nervous about the real workout tonight!
  • After 2 months of setting my alarm extra early and hitting the snooze button every 15 minutes, I decided to just get up and do it! It's not like I'm getting any good sleep doing that anyways. Everytime I'd hit snooze, I'd start thinking about how I felt guilty for not just getting up. Today was my first time and it felt…
  • How's everyone doing so far?? I got my DVDs a day late so I started this morning instead of yesterday. I feel better b/c while I thought the fit test was difficult, it didn't kill me as bad as I had built it up in my head that it would. Of course I had to stop quite a few times, but I'm still walking. Woohoo!!
  • I can't speak to the bodyweight exercises in Insanity b/c I am not starting until tonight, but I'll have to disagree that you can't build muscle without using weights. I was a gymnast for many, many years, never touched a weight, and was stronger than any of my male classmates (arm-wresting and pull up contents proved that…
  • Thanks, everyone. I guess it wasn't as weird as I thought!
  • I'm no expert, but I think running with hand or ankle weights is bad for you. It throws your body off of its natural running motion and could cause injury. I would say no.
  • I'm picking up month one from a friend this weekend, so I'll be starting Monday the 16th. NERVOUS! But my birthday is June 15th, exactly 60 days from Monday. Perfect :)
  • I did Nutrisystem for two months and lost about 12 lbs. It was the first "diet" I ever stuck to in my life for more than a week. I did the select program and the food was pretty good actually, I thought. While I don't think you should expect to order Nutrisystem for the rest of your life, I think it's a good option for…

  • Thank you for sharing. I agree with so many of these!
  • Bump ::Crickets:: :)
  • I'm no expert so I'm not sure if it's GOOD advice, but can tell you what I'd do. Drink a big glass of water then wait about 10 minutes. If you are still hungry, go eat a piece of fruit or something and see if you can shave a little off of dinner by reducing a portion size slightly.
