  • HI! I am having the same problem. I just went through and deleted about 25 people who hadn't logged in for over 2 months! And the ones that do log in, don't ever comment or say anything :( So, I'll be your friend! I have about 20 lbs to lose and am 28, 5'9".
  • I have had kidney stones probably a dozen times in my life (I'm 28) and I finally had my gallbladder taken out and they stopped. They told me it was soda too ;) I use to be addicted to it as well. But I slowly stopped drinking it by substituting it with carbonated flavored water. For me, it was the carbonation I loved. So…
  • We kind of have the same goal, overall I want to lose about 25 or 30 lbs by fall, when I go back to school. I have been off and on and just started again yesterday, with exercising and tryyyyyying to eat healthy :) How tall are you by the way? You don't look like you weigh as much as you do, you carry your weight well!…
  • Stick with it! This is like my third attempt at 30DS. I got to like day 3 of level 3 and quit and I am back at it about a year later, today was day 1 of level 2 (*kitten* kicker!)...for me, the video can get so repetitive and boring, but IT WORKS.. So if you ever start feeling like giving up just remember that! I read from…
  • Hi there. So, wow to that one woman. Jees. The only thing I agree about with those posts is that you should weigh yourself. That way, you know where you start and you can make a goal to where you want to be. If you don't get on the scale, you are just fearing reality. Get on the scale, and do the work from there :) Trust…
  • Hi Carli :) While I don't have any fun ideas or recipes, I am a pretty interative friend! lol. I am 5'9" and have lost about 20 lbs in the last year and looking to lose about 25 more. I am around 185 right now. I am trying to live and believe in the "this is a lifestyle change" rather than a "diet"...I struggle sometimes…
  • Hey! I know how you feel, I've gone off track SEVERAL times. I am not sure why I do it, because every time I feel like crap! Mind over matter ;) I am hoping to lose around 30 lbs, which would make me at my lowest weight ever. It's going to be a challenge but I am getting into the swing of things! I love your plan, by the…
  • Gained 2 lbs. Eff. No excuses. Poor eating and no exercising the past 5 days. Ugh. Getting out of my funk!!
  • Hi all! I have been doing really well staying within my calories and exercising most days. I need to exercise MORE. I slacked on water big time yesterday but have been drinking lots. My official weigh in day is Monday but I am excited to see a lbs loss! This is the first time in a year I have been under 180. Let's see if…
  • Hi everyone, I'm Alicia. I'm 27 years old and live in Oregon, have my whole life. It is beautiful here :) I have a pretty boring and empty life as of now, no kids or partner :( I have never been too overweight but have always been super uncomfortable with my body. Growing up I never hung out with friends because I always…
  • I came across this post from another MFP friend (thanks IowaJen!) and am excited to join. This is the first challenge I have joined! I have been slacking and really hope this group motivates me to get it going again!
  • Wow! I wish I looked like you at 190! lol. I'm 194 and DO NOT look anywhere near you at that! (and I am 5'9") you held that weight good girl! Awesome job!
  • I only eat some of mine back if I feel hungry still. There are days where I only net 800-900, and I know some people would say that is really bad for me, but I just listen to my body...if I am hungry after I have already eaten all of my cals, I will eat some of my exercise cals back. But I never eat all of them back simply…
  • I have the FT4 and I always wondered the same....I will do a walk/jog for about an hour and it says I usually burn about 600-700. Doing my work out videos and such, I find that to be pretty accurate, since it is not too far off from what MFP and other websites say I should be burning. But just to be on the safe side, I…
  • Yeah, I don't have any stairs at home, ha. Hmmm, I guess I'll just stick to what I already have...the street, ha.
  • CHIPS! I just posted on this, I can't stay away! Me love chips.
  • Ooooo Sun chips...French Onion for me! I may have to try PopChips, I've seen them but never tried. Thanks for the suggestions!
  • I think that is the rule I have to make for myself...no chips for me, as much as it hurts. I normally don't restrict anything, almost anything, I can do in moderation and be okay. Chips...I can not just have a serving. When I talk about wanting chips people will tell me, just have a few....seriously?! A few?! Don't you…
  • My bad, I meant I have the PolarFT4, just got it about 2 months ago. :)
  • I have the PolarF4 and I love it. But (and not to be rude :) ) if you just search the forums you'll find a million responses and opinions! Polar seems to be the top rated and most accurate. (I got mine off of BodyTronics.com for $62 including free shipping)
  • No, I've only had it for about a month! But thanks for the idea!
  • Thanks for your response. Yeah. I didn't really want to count my water aerobics as a "work out"....I had never been before, and I was just curious to see what it would read, but I don't think I will use it anymore underwater!
  • When I'd work out at my school gym on the treadmill it'd tell me that for 30 min walk at 3.3 MPH and 30 min jog, I would burn about 230 calories. What?! I went with it because I had no idea what I should have been burning. I got a HRM (the FT4) and now I burn close to 650 when I do 60 min of walk/jog. (outside, no longer…
  • Sorry that happened to you. Obviously she's got issues and doesn't know anything about real support of each other. Do you remember her screen name, I'd like to send her a little "motivational" message....hehe. ;)
  • That's what I do! If I am still hungry I will eat because I have the exercise cals, but I don't ever eat them all back. My doctor as well, said the same thing. That it defeats the purpose of losing weight, that if you are an "athlete" and burn crazy calories regularly, then it's okay if you are maintaining and don't have…
  • I just used what my HRM told me, normally about 25 min (I count the stretching afterwards) would tell me between 280-300...but when I did the calculation it says about 215 cals...yikes! That's a big difference. I thought I was suppose to just go by my HRM =/
  • Yeah, it's on Youtube. But I definitely prefer it on my big TV, they have it at Target and Walmart for around $10, just as cheap as Amazon (and new) and no shipping. Look there if you want the hard copy :)
  • Wow! You look awesome, boob sweat and all! lol. Do you mind sharing how you've been so successful? (Besides eating healthy and exercising, lol. How much do you work out, how many cals do you eat, AND do you eat back your exercise cals?!) Awesome work!
  • I have the PolarFT4 and I love it. The only thing I wish it did was track distance, but that's okay, I mainly wanted to track calories anyway. It was about $62 on BodyTronics.com (I found about $15 cheaper than Ebay or Amazon)...there's also a ton of readings on this, if you search it in the forums. Lots of people…
  • I need ideas as well! I hate cooking, but SkinnyTaste.com has some awesome looking recipes! I am having tilapia, veggies, and instant mashed potatoes for dinner, about 350 calories. I eat that a lot, ugh...sometimes I'll stir fry some onions, green peppers, and chunks of chicken breast, and eat it with corn tortillas and…
