This is some of the strangest advice I've ever heard.

Bump. Sounds delicious!

Today I'm feeling sore because I recently started weight training, and yesterday was a legs and butt day! My thighs are killing me!
-
Bump. I'm always up for something sweet that doesn't kill my calories for the day!

Yeaaaaaah Cards! I'm also from Southern Illinois! I'm living in Central Illinois now, so I gotta include my Illini in the sports teams I root for! ;)

One more bump for good measure :).

I suffer from anxiety and have had plenty of panic attacks in the past because of it. I'd also suggest going to see a doctor about it so that he/she can get you on the right track to making you as healthy as possible. In the mean time, I know that once I cut caffeine out of my diet, my anxiety problems drastically…

Glad that so many people are interested! :)

I have a few new years resolutions this year. 1. Take off the last 10 pounds I want to lose before July 2. Be more organized at work 3. Enjoy myself in the months leading up to my wedding and not stress out if things go wrong!

There were quite a few people in this thread implying that they believed it was not real or not any sort of threat. I agree that it isn't worth the risk that OP makes it out to be for most of humanity. Like I pointed out, it's really only a risk for long-distance runners, and the majority of people here on MFP are not even…

Exactly! People are acting like hyponatremia is not a real thing, but it is! It's a super rare risk, yes, but it exists and people have died from it before. If any of you are interested in reading more about the condition, a new book was released in May that talks specifically about it. It's called "Waterlogged: The…

So, I know people aren't going to take me seriously, due to how they responded to this post, but... Hyponatremia is an actual risk. There have been a bunch of studies done on it, and over-hydration can actually be more deadly than dehydration. It really only presents itself in long-distance runners, so it's pretty rare,…

Anything with a lot of protein and fiber will keep you full for longer. Try some greek yogurt or a whole wheat bagel with light cream cheese.

If you're worried about having too many calories, hard alcohol with diet soda is the way to go. Usually a shot is about 100ish calories, so it is manageable if you drink a single shot with some soda. Plus, since you don't drink often, you will be able to get quite a buzz off the hard alcohol, so you won't have to drink…

Not at all! You want to be at a deficit to lose weight, so I'd say you're eating the right amount! Sounds like what you're doing is healthy, and that's what matters in the end :).

Just as a heads-up, a lot of food packages do not list potassium in their nutrition facts, so the amounts for some foods never get added. You are probably getting more potassium than you think.

I need to eat more butternut squash so that I can get awesome low-light vision ;).

I was going to suggest this as well :). A little bit of sewing goes a long way!

I think you hit the nail on the head here! Why deprave yourself from things you enjoy if you are able to fit them within your calorie limit and you plan on eating them again when you're done dieting? The main key to this lifestyle change is finding ways to balance the good and the bad. You shouldn't eat McDonald's every…
