You've done an amazing job Rachel and look like a totally different person. You're such an inspiration and have no reason to feel disappointed in yourself. Well done for getting back on track, you'll get to goal in no time. Also we can do this together just like last time. x x x

I try most things but 30DS was way too intense. Just getting up and down off the floor all the time was not good for my joints let alone doing jumping jacks! I've put a note on your profile page of what I do but feel free to message me if you'd like any advice.

Hi, given that you have arthritis you have to take exercise induced pain seriously. As you know ( being one of my friends  ) I have rheumatoid arthritis and I found 30DS too strenuous. It's now sitting unused in the back of the cupboard. I have to listen to my body and avoid high impact exercises or certain…

Hi, I have hypothyroidism, PCOS and rheumatoid arthritis. I've been steadily losing weight since I joined in January 2012 and work out regularly but sensibly. Recently I've hit a bit of a plateau so will be looking into auto immune friendly diets in the hope of getting things moving again. Friend request me if you would…

I couldn't eat in a restroom

I would find eating 8 times a day difficult in a working environment. Personally I would feel uncomfortable eating at times when colleagues are not allowed. If it's for medical reasons then yes but if it's purely as a method to lose weight then I wouldn't.

You look lovely, happy and healthy  Well done

Hi, I have rheumatoid arthritis so high impact exercises are a no go for me. Over the past 15 months I've lost weight mainly through watching my diet. Initially I just walked my dogs each day and as I gained confidence I started swimming a couple of times a week. In December I joined a gym and now go spinning once a week…

I'm freezing all the time :frown: I'm hoping that when I stop eating reduced calories things will improve but for now it's warm clothes and thermal underlayers.

As long as the person on the next treadmill stays there and doesn't hop on mine I couldn't care less what they get up to. They could run naked for all I care because I'm busy minding my own business and working on my own body.

I agree with this. I have an underactive thyroid and tried following the TDEE-20% rule and my weightloss totally stalled and then I actually started to gain. I now have my calories set to 1200 and I eat back some of my exercise calories which are calculated using a hrm. Not everyone can eat more to lose.
-
Well done, you look amazing and are a real inspiration

I gave some to friends, some to charity and some to the recycling bin. I don't ever intend going back to my old weight so those clothes are useless to me now

I'm afraid this is not always the case. I listened to my body but unfortunately my body was a greedy pig and always told me it was hungry. MFP has allowed me to count my calories and know when I've had enough as 43yrs of listening to my body made me obese.

Personally I find that having a proper routine for mealtimes helps prevent snacking but each to their own. You can eat when you want as long as you stay within your calorie allowance.

Thanks for that, I've set my sky to record it. I'll be interested to hear how all that processed food they sell is good for you

Hi Liz, when I started this I knew I had a little over 8st to lose so like you began by just counting the calories. As time has gone on and my confidence has increased I've added in more exercise and joined a gym in December. It's amazing how much you learn on this site. Best of luck with your weightloss x

I was diagnosed with PCOS and hypothyroidism 20yrs ago. I've never received medication or diet advice for PCOS and just try to eat a healthy balanced diet which avoids processed foods. I've been losing steadily over the past year.

You look amazing. well done. Even your cat and dog can't take their eyes off you!

I got one as a gift and also found it very messy to use. Personally I prefer to eat the whole fruit as I feel guilty throwing away all the fruit which is left over after extracting the juice. Also eating the whole fruit works out less calorific and more satisfying. There's a spare one in my loft space as a result but it…

I have the double whammy of hypothyroidism and PCOS. I was diagnosed with these approx 20yrs ago and have always struggled to lose weight and keep it off. Since joining mfp a little over a year ago I've managed to lose weight but have been very strict about sticking within my allowance and getting regular exercise. I also…

I aim to use the last of my calories between 5-7 when I have dinner.

Well done, what a great feeling

I've given too much thought to this and now I feel sick

I think it would smell nasty

fitted black bootleg workout trousers and puma stretchy top...Been married 25yrs and when I look in that mirror in the gym I want to impress myself. Although my husband also likes to check me out and appreciates my new improved figure when I'm on the elliptical :blushing:

Hi, I've been using the site for little over a year. I have my calories set at 1200 (sedentary) and I do eat back what I earn through exercise. I use a heart rate monitor to make sure that I don't overestimate though. Good luck to you

You're only young so I expect your skin has good elasticity. I don't think saggy skin will be a problem so try not to worry. The best thing is to keep your skin moisurised, work out, eat healthy and drink lots of water. Good luck :flowerforyou:
