  • It does work. I went from September to December last year JUST going by MFP guides. I consistently lost more than it said I would, and I wasn't missing out on foods by any means. I integrated my FitBit (birthday present) in December and it's just another tool to help me along in my journey.
  • 6.9kg / 15.1lb since Jan 1. ETA: date
  • Firstly, well done on taking the first step. I don't have cheat days. I don't diet. I'd rather make CHOICES than cheat. I CHOOSE to have that chocolate mudcake with strawberries and cream or I CHOOSE to have that slice of pizza. And you know what, tonight I had both. Homemade pizza (496 cals) and that delicious dessert…
  • Join the FB page! They're amazing! I started in September last year with a little over 63 kilos to lose. Now, 5 months later, I have 38.9kg left to let go of. You CAN do it. Feel free to add me if you like.
  • How has the rest of your week been? I ask because if you've been under say 600 calories (guesstimate) every day so far with exercising your body is going to need refuelling. You can afford to eat a little more tonight and still be under on your WEEKLY CALORIES.
  • I love a quick stirfry - longest time is the prep! I also made a sweet & sour sauce the other day that was low cal - about half the amount of store bought ones here, and much healthier. Edited to add: I'm a graphic designer ;)
  • I tell the world about my journey (with pictures) here : http://www.facebook.com/pages/Danis-Journey-A-Lifestyle-Change/314024338697559 EDITED TO CHANGE LINK ADDRESS

  • It is hard. Something in me just clicked. I posted on Facebook about the sureslim diet, and then I had someone message me and tell me about MFP and she helped me for my first couple of months. I've never looked back now, and as of this morning I have lost 22kg | 49lb. That is in 16 weeks. I have a lot to lose which is why…

  • Hey everyone, Been a rough few months. But I've remembered to report back now (oops!) It's the 31st here in New Zealand. My official weigh-in day is tomorrow but I weighed this morning for the sake of this challenge. On 6 November, I weighed 130.2kg / 287lb. This morning I weighed in at 121.7kg / 268lb (one day early on my…
  • I have lost 46 and have about 94 to go. I started noticing a slight difference in side by sides at around 17lb. My next comparison was at 35lb and all of a sudden it looked like I had lost a heck of a lot. (More than the scales were telling me) Keep at it, you will notice the difference very soon.
  • I take it all back. They were entered in the database wrong. They're about 220ish cals.
  • Meegan!! You are an accountant. You have the piece of paper to prove it!
  • I currently work from home as a graphic designer. I am looking for work though... I used to have a cupcake business until I moved back home to Nelson from Christchurch.
  • You look seriously amazing. Well done! :)
  • I started at a 24 bottoms and 2xl tops (New Zealand sizing) and 2 1/2 months later I'm sitting at a 20 bottoms and kind of in between XL and L for tops. YOU CAN DO IT!
  • Custard Pie ... 250 Apple Pie ... 275 Sweet Potato Pie ... 300 Pumpkin Pie ... 310 Pecan Pie ... 400 I didn't even know most of these existed until now. I have only ever had an apple pie. As for the custard one, it would depend on the milk used to make the custard, in this instance I see it made with a trim milk
  • I've not been bought up with exercise as a part of life. I had never tried to lose weight before, so for me, it is about balance and being able to still enjoy meals out with my husband (we've been married 18 months) and not feel like I'm missing out.
  • I put my name down, but have come into a rough patch for the next few weeks. I will do my best to keep up with this however some things are going to be difficult. • I'm on daily and do my best to keep everyone motivated, anyone can add me if you like. I'm working towards a 48.6kg - 58.6kg / 107 - 129lb weight loss, currently 11.1kg / 24lb down. When my body decides it is happy, that will be my maintenance weight. I'm hoping it will be in the region of 85-95kg / 187 - 209lb. I'm 176cm…

  • Hi All! My name's Danielle. I'm 22 (almost 23) and been married for 1 1/2 years, been with him since I was 19. He's 27. We have lived together for about the same time. We have both become comfortable and now I'm being proactive, with the hopes that we'll both change our lifestyle. We're ready for kids but my main concern…
  • On my recent weekend away, I wanted a trumpet. They didn't have them, so I risked it and got a cornetto. So the cone wasn't crunchy BUT they're 180ish cals as opposed to 250+ for a trumpet. SURPRISE! I didn't miss out and felt good knowing it was under 200!
  • You could eat 1200 cals of chocolate for breakfast and be starving throughout the day or you could choose to spend your cals throughout the day (and not be hungry) by eating lower calorie food. If you bring in proteins and whole grains you'll be fuller longer and over the day not eat so much.
  • We have a peanut butter filled chocolate here in New Zealand.
