Hi, I'm a little bit in the same boat. Best of luck to you! You can do it and so can I. :)

Hugging people makes me somewhat uncomfortable. I don't mind hugging my cats though.

1) How much do you weigh at the moment? - 165 pounds (down 40 pounds over the past 3 years or so) 2) How much would you like to weigh? - My starting goal was 165. My next short-term goal is 160. 3) How many times a week do you workout? - I aim for 5 (gym during the week and hiking on the weekends) 4) Calories you are…

I agree that height and weight alone definitely don't tell the whole story. I take the BMI thing with a grain of salt, as well.

Actually, depending on the internet source, things on the internet are highly likely to be true. With unproven/non-scientific internet sources, people can use their own judgment.

I have a bottle at home and have used it to help settle my stomach when nothing else will help. Seems odd that it would help with that, but it does for me. I also like to use it in a very simple vinaigrette of a Bragg cider vinegar, olive oil, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. I've also read reviews (see Amazon.com…

Sure do still watch. I'm thinking Rollins vs. Orton will be the best match this year, but we'll see. (I brought my "Just Bring It" shirt to wear to the gym today.) :D

I love their breakfast patties. Have been eating them for many years. Morningstar Farm Grillers, Chik Patties, and some of their other foods are good, too!

Plan to take my 6 beginning photos tonight and start the workout on Monday, April 1st. A bit wary about some of diet aspects, but others aren't so bad. I love cheese and other gluten-laden products, although I do try to buy whole-grain stuff. Those will be hard to give up completely.

Exactly what I was thinking LOL.

^^ This.

I love that I look okay from the chin up from certain angles if I put on loads of makeup and am not too brightly lit lol. I love my sense of humor.

LOL... awesome reply

I'm 5' 8.5" and have lost about 20 pounds (had lost 27, but gained some weight back oops...). I noticed a difference because I went down a size in clothes and people also started noticing. I don't look much different to my own eyes in the mirror though. Lately I'm struggling to become re-motivated to start exercising more…

Coffee is nasty and I can't drink it without a generous amount of creamer and sugar (or Splenda). Wish I could acquire a taste for it, but yuck.

Ditto! I read an article just the other day on DDP Yoga and how it is helping Jake "The Snake" Roberts get clean and in shape. Jake hasn't been clean in YEARS, and now he's lost like 60 pounds and has been clean for 3 months. I'm a big fan of MMA and pro wrestling, so this program will make me feel like a bad *kitten* if I…

I'm 38 (awkward age lol) and feel like I can relate more to people in their 40s, but I never feel comfortable joining 40s groups because I'm not quite there yet.

Not fun when you have to commute to work in the snow, but otherwise, it's okay.

This must be an introvert/extrovert thing. The extroverts are outside of themselves paying attention to what others are doing, while the introverts are inside their own heads and minding their own business.

In addition to possible elevation/terrain changes, you have wind resistance outside, and to me, it seems more challenging than the treadmill. The treadmill does provide better shock absorption than some of the outdoor surfaces, like concrete (the worst!) and asphalt.

I need help, too. I've all but stopped logging my food and eating properly, and I only work out about 3 times a week. Should be 4 or 5.

LMAO :-D

According to the doctor's office, I've shrunk a 1/2 inch, and I'm only 37. Am I supposed to be shrinking already? I'm now 5'8". :-(

I'm hiking this in September for the first time, and I am petrified! I keep asking people who have done it how strenuous it is, hoping someone will say it's not that difficult, but so far, no luck lol. Everyone says it's pretty darn strenuous. One person gave me a bit more detail, saying that the hardest part is the…

I see plenty of topics under this category (Chit-cat, fun, and games) that aren't related to weight loss nor fitness. Not sure why people are posting replies as if they're confused as to why the poster created this topic. At any rate, I imagine if a person who has cheated feels genuine remorse, he or she won't keep…

The kinds of yogurt that I buy is low-fat or non-fat, and it's delicious to me. I've also bought 2%-milk cheese which was fine. I even like fat-free sour cream lol.

I like how people who have no idea what your daily routine entails think they can tell you what you should and shouldn't consider exercise. It's nobody's business what other people choose to log.

Try some of the Morningstar Farms soy-protein products... they're really tasty. I've been eating them for years! Grillers (veggie burgers), Breakfast Patties, and Griller Crumbers (ground beef substitute) are some of my favorites.
