When I signed on to MFP and entered my goals...it was the magic number that was given to me..1250. I nearly passed out at the thought! I haven't been able to keep it under 1500 on most days and I've lost 48 pounds total so I guess weight can be lost if you eat more! imagine that! :)

I'm not new but I've been quiet! :) I am 5'6 and 138...my gw was 140 but I'm not happy with my measurements so I'm working on that. MFP tells me to have 45 g....I aim for 90 but have found it difficult to hit that goal on some days. I too was trying to stay under on all categories on the food diary but after reaching my goal weight months ago I realized that my muscle mass was basically gone :( so that is why I've up'd my protein. Don't cut out something you LOVE! I adore chocolate so I buy the bag of Nestle dark chocolate chips and have a tablespoon or two when the craving hits! I LOVE the minute rice brown rice cups...I buy the brown and wild cups. Perfection in one minute! I mix in a half cup of fat free refried beans and add tobasco...sounds nasty but tastes really good! :)

All I know is that I went from 178lbs to 133lbs and my metabolism is better than ever. If you move more...you eat more.

Visit your doctor and INSIST that they run a complete blood test. Sometimes we start losing certain vitamins (B, magnesium, or others) that would help with metabolism. You can still lose weight and gain your energy back!! :)

I weigh every morning. It works for me. I don't let the fluctuation of one or two pounds get me down because that's normal. If the scale is up more than two...then it gets me to focus!!
