I tend to run about 20 miles per week when not training. I am doing a HM in September but I have a 100k walk in June, so at the moment I am strength training, walking around 10 miles per week and running my average15-20 miles. I also have 3 kids, lead a beginners run club, work and am studying my PT course. After my 100k I…

Thanks for this. This was Saturday and it's now Tuesday lol. Am hoping to see a loss in the next few days

The single most important factor affecting whether an athlete will gain muscle mass is energy consumption (that’s right, not protein consumption). If carbohydrate and energy intakes are too low, lean mass will not increase. Building muscle tissue costs energy, and requires additional amounts of minerals and other…

I run 3-4 times a week between 3-5 miles a run :-)

If you are worried about Protein shake ingredients then I suggest NitroTech by MuscleTech. It is tri filtrated and only the essentials added back in. It is also very gentle on the gut and good for people with slight lactose intolerance. The strawberry one tastes like angel delight to me and even tastes good with water.…

Swiggies are good for long distance runs. THey are small bottles that attach like a watch around your wrists and you just swig when you need. http://www.newitts.com/product/IT044489/Swiggies_Wrist_Water_Bottles.htm?utm_source=Google+Base&utm_medium=Price+Comparison&utm_campaign=Google+Product+Search&utm_content=IT044489

I love the links posted. My body fat works out to be 26% at the moment and I want it to be around 22% (I think) so It says I need to lose 8lbs of fat. I was thinking I had loads more to lose. People have been saying how good I look but psychologically I still see a fat person. Thanks :-)

Completly agree with this! I have been controlling my anorexia/bulimia since I admitted to it at 16! It is a life long illness that can return at any point and it is something I wouldn't wish on anybody x

This is amazing! What support you have! Well done on your journey to finding happiness. Just seen your before and after pics and you are amazing. I also agree I was hooked on your writing style. Thank you for sharing xx

When we talk thigh gap do we mean a gap at the very top?

My fastest 5k is 27.30. I did do a run where it logged me at 23.20 but I spent the first mile looking for someone and am sure my nike run logged it wrong? I generally do 3/4 5k's a week and they are all done in under 28 mins. I would like to get to 36 mins then will start pushing my distance to 8k then 10k. I think you are…

Thank you. You reckon if I have a week off the running then start mixing it up a bit then that may help? I love my running and when not doing it am thinking of my next run/route. What do you mean by becoming a "runner" ? I am addicted to it and it is the only thing I have stuck at religously, helping with fitness, size and…

Thanks guys. May try the interval training :-)!

I ran with friends tonight. I always lead but it's nice to know they are there. It was a better run, but I think my wall is psychological. Thanks for the replies x
-
Why do you say that? :-)
-
Hi. Yes I do change my route all the time as I get bored easily lol. I think I just need to find a running partner to spur me on. :-)
-
May take tomorrow and friday off of all exercise as am swimming twice a week too, a mile a time. See what saturday round the lake brings. :-)

Thanks everyone. COuld you give me any advice on what to eat on my running days then please? I run morning and night. Although I know what to eat day to day I have not really got much of a grip on how to feed my exercise to give me energy. Thank you :-)
-
I have been running like this for over a year now so it's not that, and I have sorted all my ailments by purchasing new shoes etc. I am wondering if I am actually eating enough to power my runs and the right stuff. My BMR is around 1500 but MFP worked out 1420 per day for me to lose weight, does that sound right?

She wasn't big before from the pictures? You can't see all of her in the after either. Rubbish article, I agree! Boo
