Congratulations!!! I have a similar story. I have lost 15 lbs since December. I started at 7.8 and in early march my H1C came in at 6.6. A long way to go but very encouraging...now only if the weight would come off quicker!! :)

Any responses to the net calorie question? Is the TDEE-20% our net calorie goal so do we eat our exercise calories? Thanks.

Thought I would offer an update. Had a medical in early March and my H1AC was 6.6, down from 7.8 about 3 months ago. I am pleased. The goal is to get it lower of course, but I am happy with this initial result. My fasting BG remain high. Between 112- 150 depending on the day. I have let exercise go for the last couple of…

I am actually taking an international flight. Sixteen hours long?! I am not sure I can bring that much food. Perhaps the best strategy is a mix of both. Some of mine and the rest pick and chose from they menu the provide.

I have a similar problem and over the past month I have lowered my carbs ( not always consistently) and added exercise in the evening. When I exercised late at night, there was pretty good correlation with lower blood sugars in the morning but it was disturbing my sleep. So I shifted it before my meal and that too seems to…

There in a stream on the lower carb forum under diabete that I recall reading. It quoted a study which showed a clear link between magnesium and lower blood sugars. I will see if I can find it. What dosage of supplements are people taking or planning to take? I am also very interested in this.
