  • I weigh daily because of habit, I only input once a week or so. I did 3 weeks of p90x in late 2010 and lost 17inches but the scale didn't go up it just didn't move :). This time I was weirded out because the scale went up. Thanks for the input, I will make my diary more open as its only open to friends currently.
  • Hello, I am an off again on again member of MFP. I got really discouraged and just let it go for the last few months as no matter what I was doing, it wasn't doing anything. So here I am..expecting #6 in December and scared Crapless about being obese and pg...AGAIN. I am hoping to stay positive that I can keep my gains…
  • My husband and I are almost at 30 days, today is week 4 day 1 for the p90x-lean for me, classic for him. Sadly I haven't lost any weight but I have dropped 14 inches over all so far and look forward to continuing. We are following it as close as we can(my husband works shifts in a labour intense job) so sometimes can't do…

  • I enjoy the wii ea-active, the wii fit plus(requires a balance board) and have been looking at purchasing the zumba or the just dance. they look to be a lot of fun. I don't know if they help lose weight..but they help get you moving! :)
  • according to a website vodka has approx 69 calories per 1fl oz Gin also has 69 calories per 1fl oz. I would stay away from the sugary mix tho its a great way to get a nasty headahce if you over indulge :) Have fun!
  • I decided to start watching my sodium less than a week ago and boy has it made a huge difference, I was retaining water like crazy and I drink at least 9 glasses of water each day. I noticed that things I didn't think were very high in sodium actually were. Today I discovered that while I enjoy calorie wise ranch dressing…
  • I am finding a smoothie/shake with added flax is a good way to up calories and fibre without having to chew :) I love the flavour of one i make and it equals out to approx 310 calories when you combine the protein powder, frozen fruit(mixed berries), flax and my omega 3-6-9 oil. On days when I am finding that I need just a…
  • I was about to post that too..the non hormone thing. I also think there is an antibiotic ban as well for all milk products but would have to double check that one. as for the OP..if you are interested I am currently reading "The China Study" Really eye opening. I still have yet to read the article you posted but look…
  • I have been worried the last week or so about not eating enough but I couldn't decide if i should up the calories(change goal to 1lb a week instead of 2) When looking at the sodium I was shocked my eyes bugged out, the last few days have been great for sodium intake. I am pretty sure the calorie burn is accurate I got a…

  • My spare tire isn't moving as freely, I think all this exercise may be doing something!...I sure wasn't feeling that way yesterday, I had a total and complete frustration mini meltdown. All better today and redid and finished my last workout to my best ability. I adjusted my food diary and wassurprised to learn that I am a…
  • i have been having some frustration the past week, I don't officially weigh in daily or weekly but I do check on days I am feeling particularily "skinny". My scale has gone up. I am pretty sure I am retaining water as someone is expected any day now. Its frustrating because I think the last 15 days I have worked the…
  • a pretty inexpensive one is spinach/apple/carrot/celery. Play with the amounts to get the right taste for your palate. My husband finds if i use too much carrot its too sweet, if I use too much celery it can be a tad bitter. but when its just right...delicious!
  • It looks fun, I have the zumba express dvd and it took about 3 attempts to learn the steps to be more fluid. I think the game looks like fun and is something I would be interested in getting as a way to switch things up. Practice makes perfect right? :)

  • . Angela- For the p90x you require resistance bands/dumbells. A pull up bar is usefull but the bands can be used in its place. We also happen to have lol wife speak work out equipment with the bars to get the same effect more or less. At least we assume. If its apparent we actualyl do need a pull up bar we will get one…
  • Welcome to the new ladies!, I am new to the thread too with plenty to lose to get to a healthy BMI
  • Tomorrow my husband and I are starting p90x...we couldn't help but be inspired by some recent photo's in the success section. We have spent the last 2 days taking a peek at what we are embarking on, luckily we seem to know 97% of the moves, its actually doing them near as well as the people on the dvd right lol. I am a tad…
  • Fantastic! You inspired my husband to go out and buy the program for us, Thank you!
  • Im a big loser :). I have just under 100lbs now to the ultimate goal. I find reading the success stories to be really motivational. I find this site very helpful for me and hope it helps you too Julie! Welcome!
  • I was thinking what the pp suggested, there could be a thyroid issue or you may have something else PCOS comes to mind for a potential. definately make an appointment with your doc and have some tests done. If there is something like that you can get on the right path to lose those extra pounds. Good Luck, and welcome to…
  • I have 5 boys, 12,9, 3(1/2), 2(nov 26) and 9 months. Back to back pg's and nursing hasn't helped bring the scales down lol.

  • I have my weigh ins on saturday am's and I was more than not wanting to get on it, I had a not so good week with the exercise and inputing my calories was lacking. I did it anyway and was surprised to see a 1lb drop. I know that I checked myself earlier this week and had put on a few from last week. I am pretty sure the lb…
  • I have recently purchased and started using the EA Active, while there isn't a spot on the database, I have been entering what the game has told me every time I do it. I am currently working on the 30 day challenge. I can only assume its pretty accurate but don't have anything else to back it up. I have also played and…

  • Mainly, TIME. They will fade to almost non exsistant but short of lasers and specialty creams(meaning big bucks). I got them majorly bad with my first and the ones that showed up behind my knees are way less apparent then they were the first 5 years after he was born. Its always a good idea to moisturize, Good Luck
