  • DAAAAAANG!!! You look awesome! How was the transition from bikini to figure?
  • Congratulations! You look great! Keep up the good work!
  • I'm 9 days out from my show, and gonna spend the summer prepping for a big show in October! Good luck with everything. I'll add you
  • I use a heart rate monitor and log each exercise under cardio.
  • I had spaghetti dreams during my first few weeks of prep :) I really didn't actually miss foods too much though. It is kind of sick to say but I really was able to enjoy and get satisfaction just by thinking and imagining foods that weren't in my plan. Or I could totally make myself sick by thinking about how bad certain…
  • This is such a great feeling! When I did my contest prep this past Fall, I had a lot of trouble. I'm not sure what brands to go for, but some basic tips: Don't go out and buy a bunch of nice clothes for your competition body. It's exciting because we look good in EVERYTHING, but those will only fit for the weeks before and…
  • Looks like I've got a few of you beat :) Age:22 Height: 5' 7" Weight: 128 Thigh: R:28.5 L:28.75 Calf: R:13.5 L:12.75 I'm working really hard to get my calves symmetrical because I compete in Bikini Competitions and symmetry is really important. They're not only different in size, the shapes are weird too :/
  • Eggs. 5 dozen for $8 where I go. You can make omelets for days. Just add a little spinach and EVOO for fats.
  • Great list! Thank you!
  • Look for lean grilled meats (think kabobs), and if possible, bring a water bottle that you can refill. You may even be able to pack your own food or easy snacks to keep in a purse. Don't deny yourself a treat though. Pick one thing to share with someone and have fun :)
  • 3 egg white, half scoop of vanilla protein powder and some sweet potato. I blend all of mine in the morning and put it in the refrigerator. It's super easy to throw on the skillet and top with cinnamon for a huge protein pancake. You can also add a few oats instead of the sweet potato.
  • I know that if I stay up late, I will be hungry. I eat my last meal at 7:30 or 8 and go to bed no later than 9:30. That way I have a proper meal still in me and my tummy doesn't grumble :)
  • I keep a water bottle (for me it's a gallon jug) in front of me when I'm at the computer at work. Out of sight, out of mind. If I'm not seeing it constantly, I forget about it. I also put lines on the outside of where I want the water line to be at what time of day so that if it's 2pm and I'm not to the halfway point, I…
  • There is a huge difference between quick oats, and steel cut oats, and the amount of nutrients and protein and general "stuff" in them. Which kind are you using? Those quaker packets (eww) are flavorless and do not fill anyone up. I add protein powder to mine every morning with a handful of almonds on the side. Great and…
  • I pack my lunch, eat half before my lunch break, work out during my lunch break (just enough to break a little sweat) and eat the other half of my lunch after the break is over. I work a desk job so this works really well. And I really want to specify that my lunch work outs do not count as my regular work outs. If it's…
  • I've been drinking a gallon each day for the past few weeks. I feel amazing, my face is clear, I don't eat out of boredom anymore. I've done it 2 ways- either I drink straight out of the gallon, or I pour it into a smaller bottle. I have set little markers of where I want the water line to be at what time of day. I feel…
  • Social situations like that ALWAYS include snacky food. Bring snacks for everyone to share. I always bring baby carrots, small portions of nuts and fruit for mindless eating/ drunchies.
  • Stick to large curd (I prefer the texture way better- the same that thick cut oats are better than processed oats). I just sprinkle a little pepper on my cottage cheese for a quick snack.
  • Practice transitions (jumping out of the pool after your swim and putting on shoes, socks, helmet etc). If you've been training and are confident, you'll have a blast. Just enjoy and do your best. Good luck :)
  • I LOVE my oats in the morning. I prepare them with a half cup to cup of extra water. When they're cooked, I pour them on top of a scoop of vanilla protein powder and sprinkle a healthy dose of cinnamon on top! They're also yummy with a few fresh sliced strawberries or a banana if you need a little extra boost. This is the…
  • I definitely love my oatmeal. I used to switch over to cereal and soy milk once the weather got warmer, but for the past 2 years I've stuck to oatmeal every morning. I cook a half cup of thick rolled oats with a little extra water and then add a scoop of vanilla protein powder. I thought the texture would be weird but if…
