Your body needs 1200 calories a day to survive in a coma. That being said, if you are not eating at least 1200 calories PLUS your exercise calories, your body is going into starvation mode and holding on to every morsel you eat. Try eating at least half of your exercise calories, and see if you start losing. Hope this…

I say go to your mom in law's, and take a couple hours while there to go visit your mom. You could present this as private bonding time for mother and son, but you're there to help him for most of the time. This way you both win.

Yesterday was a total bust so I didn't record it. Ended up having McDonalds for dinner due to a migraine. I'm frustrated, and I've been depressed. I'm beginning to realize that eating right actually helps me and boosts my overall mood. I'm back at it today, and I'm determined! We're going to have ribeye steaks on the grill…

Hi all! Sorry I've been MIA for a long time. Things have gotten insane around here. I know it's no excuse, but you know how it is. I have been awful to myself as of late. Today is a new beginning, although I screwed it up already by eating leftover pizza for breakfast. I really miss you guys and I need some motivation.…

At that age, she does have some culpability, but I believe that the majority of the problem rests on the shoulders of her parents. Obviously they have not taught her the value of exercise and healthy eating. No child of twelve can get to that weight without being taught bad eating habits. This saddens me.

I totally agree!!! My son just moved back home and it would be nice if I didn't have to create the recipe on MFP twice for him to log it.

I've been experiencing a plateau as well. What has motivated me to keep going is my day count (I'm over 340 now). I recently changed by activity level and its also working better. Almost 65 down, and 65 to go!

Make Brinner, with some southwestern omelets! Dice them up, add some onion, provolone cheese and salsa. YUM

I'm going to tweak my calories again, and see what happens. I'm tired of the plateau!

Welcome Back Sauchie! Things have gotten crazier lately! My son moved back home, so I've been rearranging my house (AGAIN!!!). We found out that the twins are GIRLS!!! YAY!!! That means I'll have 3 granddaughters and 3 grandsons! Still at 211 even... I'll break through this plateau someday!

You cannot make decisions for your mother. Think about it. It frustrates you that she brings the fast food into your home. How do you think she feels when you tell her she cannot have it? I'm not saying that she's in the right, but when you decided to lose weight, you made that decision for yourself. She has the right to…

I forgot to weigh in this week, but with all the craziness, I really don't care :). Hubby and I went to the Milwaukee Zoo yesterday, and we did a lot of walking. Ate like crap, but oh well. Today we are going to his aunt's birthday party, and I'm grilling rib eye steaks for tonight, so eating isn't looking so good today…

if it contains no caffeine or sodium, I count it. Just don't forget to count the 10 calories per glass of crystal light.

Grape salad from allrecipes.com. I omit the brown sugar and the nuts, and I substitute the low fat versions of everything and use splenda instead of sugar. Light, sweet, satifying, and YUMMY!

My goal weight is 145 lbs, which at 5 foot 6 1/2 is right in the middle of my healthy weight range. This requires me to lose a total of 130 lbs, and I'm almost halfway there.

Ice cream, chocolate, and potato chips. They are evil.
