  • I'm not very fit right now and I've done 5ks. It's barely even 3 miles, if that. When you get tired, run slower. I mean really. :P
  • My sisters do the 30 day shred sometimes, and they say it's the hardest of the workout tapes they've ever done. And they don't do it consistently, yet have still been losing a lot of weight. So I imagine that if you stuck to it for 30 days, you'd do AMAZING.
  • Of course you're sore. Most people get sore after their first time lifting. Which is what you're doing. You're weight lifting. Congrats. Eat some more protein.
  • Fruits are full of sugar that we really don't need. Get your vitamins from elsewhere and avoid fruits if you can. Veggies>Fruits.

  • As far as I know, spot reduction isn't possible. Like, you can't work out your arms to get rid of arm fat. You'll just have muscle and fat that way. The only way to get rid of fat is to get of all of it at once until you're happy with yourself. But if you want good pecks, just do push-ups.
  • Just imagine what you could do if you ran the whole thing! Honestly, your mind gives out WAY before your body ever will. Try setting out to run a mile, and just keep running for the whole thing, even if it's not a sprint. Just see where you get. You'll be amazed.
  • I had lost like, 20 pounds, and then went away for three weeks and ate like crap, and now I'm back where I started. :( I'll do this with you.
  • 119 lbs lost? That is AMAZING! Great work! You serve as inspiration for all of us!
  • You can go in and change the info to the correct info. I've done that before. It's kind of annoying, but you only have to do it once.
  • Nice work, keep it up! I take daily jogs to the libary, 20 minutes each way, lots of uphill. It's really good for me, and I get to stop and have a nice read in between runs.

  • Welcome back! You can do it this time.
  • Good luck! The weight comes off fast at first, but keep in mind it's not so easy after the first month or two. Just keep at it the whole way though.

  • Honestly, you just can't keep going over like that. That's all there is to it. I try to plan out what I'm going to eat for the whole day. If I know I'm going out to eat, I eat as little as possible throughout the whole day, just to cushion the huge meal I'll be having later. If I've blown it early on, I just skip what the…
  • My lunch is turkey/cheese/lettuce sandwich. low cal. I feel fine awferward.
  • Just remember that 72 pounds is a LOT. It will come off fast at first (mostly water weight) but it'll take time after that. Keep it healthy, no cheating (which also meaning eating way UNDER what you're supposed toO. It's okay to be 100 over or under OCCASIONALLY, but get as close to the goal as possible.
  • I have the opposite problem. Losing weight but not winches. Although, if you've been working out a lot to lose weight and weren't working out before, you could just be gaining muscle mass.
  • Awesome! Keep it up! :flowerforyou:
  • Almost never. If it's by like, 2 calories I really don't care, but if it's ten I have to jog in palce for a minute. Once I was 200 some oer as well (I'd had dinner at a party) and had to use my exersize bike to work it off. I've bcome OCD about having myself AT the limit.
  • I haven't been to Micky Dees in 5 years. Trust me: the longer you keep away, the easier it is to stay away.
  • At least you didn't take on the full freshman 15. :flowerforyou: I like frozen foods, easy to know how much you're eating. Just eat right and exersize, moniter it on here. It's been working for me, so just don't go over your limit.
  • Actually, I don't like the word cheating. It's not cheating, you're just letting yourself down. You usually gain something from cheating, but in terms from your goal, you gain nothing.
  • I agree as well. If you eat a lot in one day, then have very low net calories the next, your body will react in a negative way. The human body craves stability.
  • Just keep going for it, you're doing great!
  • Nice work, keep it up! :flowerforyou:

  • 1500 is enough that your body won't store every SO LONG AS you aren't exersixing AT ALL. If you begin to exersize and don't eat what you burn, then you WILL be in trouble.
  • If you're eating TOO little, your body could be getting too little food all together. Be sure to diet safely. I don't feel hungry all that often. Find filling foods. Pasta ia always good.
  • Just wondering. I'm in crew and we have 90 minute practices out on the river. I'm rowing most of that time, but this site doesn't tell me what I'm burning. Anyone know, or can tell me how to find out? :flowerforyou:
  • I asked a friend, an aspiring nutritionist, for advice. Here's the little conversation: Friend: If s/he (presumably she) is burning 500 a day, yes, that's dangerous. Friend: They're standstilling because their weight has plateaued. Me: What does that mean? Me: (Evidentally she's lost 205 pounds so far...) Friend: Her body…
  • Breakfast - Cereal / Leftovers from last night's dinner. Lunch - Tukey sandwich + a little snack, like goldfish or something. Dinner - PASTA PASTA PASTA. Very filling and low cal. Snacks - Things you can buy in snack packs at the store.

  • Yep, just keep working at it. I used to see a bx of cookies and grab two, then 20 minutes later grab two more... and so on until half the box was gone! Now I'd never be able to do that. Just remember to meet your calorie goal each day, being 100 over or under occasionally is okay, but never more. Your body will adjust and…
