Yeah, PCOS changes the way that you have to approach eating and for me "eating more" (TDEE-15-20%) doesn't work. You might also want to have your doctor check your thyroid, if that hasn't already been done. I was doing great for a year losing weight and we adjusted my med and I stalled. We are readjusting it and hopefully…

Yesterday I noticed that as I carried the laundry basket upstairs it kept sliding off my waist. There wasn't that ledge there to hold it up for me! LOL

I gotta say WOW! What an inspiration that age is no excuse for not getting into shape. I really needed this kick in the butt as I am feeling a little complacent about where I am in my journey! Thank you so much for sharing your mud run and story. GREAT JOB!!

I think you are doing great! I can certainly understand how you feel. We all lose at different rates. Some faster than others. I have a tendency to lose slowly. It gets me frustrated when I start to compare myself to others. I remind myself that I am lighter than I was a year ago and am much fitter and healthier by far.…

Thanks again everyone. He is a great kid. One of the best parts of this journey for me is watching both my boys encourage me. They have been my biggest supporter and encouragers!

Thanks! He definately made me smile!

That is awesome!! Way to go, it is a great feeling to grow out of clothes being smaller.

Thank you so much for what you wrote. It makes a lot of sense and was what I needed to hear right now.

I'm 46, soon to be 47 and started at the beginning of 2012. I lost 58 lbs last year (currently stuck on a LONG plateau). Every year we take a family Easter picture and when I compared this year's to last year's I was blown away by the difference. The way I look at it, even if it takes a long time for the weight to come…

That is a wonderful NSV from someone who can totally relate! Keep up the good work!

My motivation is my family. I want to enjoy retirement with my husband. I want to be around to love on any grandchildren my boys may have. I want to enjoy the ability to "DO" stuff, like hiking, shoveling snow, raking leaves and not have my husband have to do everything (which he very willingly does) because I am not…

Great job and good advice. I see a big difference from all your diligence and hard work!

I so understand. I wish I had something to tell you to break through the plateau but I am right there with you. One thing that really helps me is comparing where I am today to where I was a year ago. Big difference!! I am much lighter, much healthier and with way more muscle and endurance than last year. There are lots of…

Yeah, this. I did great last year losing consistently. Since the beginning of the year, I keep fluctuating between the same pounds even though I am eating at a deficit and exercising. Like you I am stronger and healthier with way more endurance than I had last year. I decided yesterday that I am going to just keep eating…

I have Zumba 2 for the Wii and I love it. I love that I can customize the workout to my time frame available. I pull together the different songs/routines I like and have different workouts of different lengths all set to go for what time I have available. I got the Zumba Core for Christmas but have only used it once so…

I struggle with PCOS and thyroid issues too. During 2012, I did great losing weight (+/-55 lbs) following MFP and exercising. Something changed at the beginning of this year though. My eating stayed relatively the same and I added some circuit training to my exercise routine and the scale hasn't really moved in 2-1/2…

You have the right attitude to succeed!! It is all about finding the right balance for your life to achieve your goal! Congrats!

I am in the same boat! I would just continue to keep at it. Maybe change up your exercise routine a little. It is very hard to know that you are doing the right things but no change is happening. I think that sometimes when there is a big loss our bodies get to the point that they need to "catch up" before continuing with…

This^^^^ It is a tool that gives me the ability to change a lifetime of poor choices and to relearn how to eat and balance cals in vs cals burmed.

You need hit add exercise then fill in the section with start time and minutes and then hit add checked. So you really can't add it the first time without filling it in. After that, it will show up on your exercise tab to add quickly. HTH

That is awesome! It is such a great feeling when we control what we eat vs letting circumstances dictate our eating!! Way to go!

I found circuit training as an option under cardio.

How wonderful! Congrats!!

Love this! I am looking forward eating a treat or two at a gathering we are going to tonight since I had such a good burn from the shoveling! Thanks everyone for your encouragement!!

I don't mind having my picture taken. :-)

Yeah, this! I am only halfway to my goal and I can tell this will be an issue for me. I have a lot of loose skin in the ab area. Of course for how many years that I was grossly overweight, what can I expect. Thanks to everyone who posted helpful info on here as I am taking note of it too. It is also comforting in a way to…

I know that I shouldn't but I chose a food reward. Every 10 lbs I buy myself a Chocolove Dark Chocolate with almonds and sea salt. I really don't eat chocolate anymore and it doesn't make me crave chocolate so that is my reward. I also eat it over a few days as a treat within my calories.

That is so awesome! Great job on your loss as well!
