I didn't, I was kidding.

Oooh, have fun. I'm such a kid about that series! I WANNA MEET HARRY POTTER!!

Just to be clear, you're trying to gain weight? If I understand things correctly, in order to gain muscle you must eat at a surplus. Perhaps you're not eating enough? It sounds like you're getting leaner.
-
Might be worth trying something different. Maybe something with some extra protein. If that doesn't help you can always go back to porrage.

One foot on the floor at a time, works every day. Course, I'm not much of a runner but I do lifting or cardio in the am.
-
I'm assuming your making this for your own personal use, lol. I'm bad about remembering recipes but you might try skinnytaste.com. She has a lot of great ones. If you do make a cookbook for sale, though, get permission from her as I'm sure they're copyrighted (or whatever you do with recipes).

I wanna wear a bikini, annoy a particular relative, and coming in a close third, feel healthy.
-
I wanna be fat like Kim!
-
Dude clearly needs some protein.

Change your pic, no one mess with superheros. I can feel you though. I've not gotten any of those here. But a couple of my facebook friends are into "alternative" solutions, neither involving diet or exercise, and keep posting things about it. I wouldn't care but some on my friends list are young girls and I find…

I just want to say that it totally rocks to see a heading for "heavy lifters" and think "oh, thats me!" I have nothing to add to the advice as everyone beat me to it, lol.

Variety = expensive, so we pretty much eat the same every week. We mix up the meals but its still alot of tomato, turkey burger, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, potatoes, and your basic frozen veggies. I am cooking a pot of beans for this week, though.

You're welcome. :flowerforyou: One thing, though, if you use those numbers you don't need to worry about eating back exercise calories because it adds it in for you. That got me in trouble at first so I stopped logging exercise.

Some weight training might help. I understand squats and deadlifts are really helpful in this area, especially since you don't have a lot to lose. I do so I haven't seen much yet (:grumble: ) but I keep hearing good things. Also, maybe a swiss ball and some exercises with it? The one I bought came with exercises. I'm not…

It'll even back out. Just make sure to drink plenty of water and taking a mild walk will help with soreness.

Walmart can be a good place. Also check Goodwill, Craigslist, and, if you have it in your area, Freecycle. I see exercise stuff at these places all the time.
-
I'd start with a bench, a barbell, and some plates. You might also want plates for your dumbbells depending on the style. You can also check books and online for bodyweight exercises. If you can't afford a power rack, as I understand they're expensive, maybe you could attach brackets or hooks to a sturdy wall and use that?…

I keep seeing posts about breathing men being an option, I sort of thought that was a given. (joke, people)

I would prefer mine just a lot smaller. As for guys, I like 'em tall and broad shoulders with big hands  . Dark hair is a plus and I don't care about super muscular but strong and active is good. Luckily my hubby fits the bill.

Maybe. Wait a week and try again. Easier said than done, I know, buts its just one of those things. Patience is something you learn early on with kids, lol.
-
I use plain old Secret. Anything by Dove breaks me out and Suave is about useless after the age of about 14.
-
Wait until its a guy plus a kid or two. When I bake I'm lucky if the stuff makes it to the next day.

Maybe you need to eat a bit more? I'm not sure what your numbers should be but if you use this website http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ it will give you and idea of how many calories you should be eating at rest, to maintain, or to burn. If this doesn't work, it could be sodium. I couldn't see your diary but…

Plug your numbers in here and it will tell you how many calories you should eat for your goals. http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

A snake would be a workout bonus for me. Watch me run!!
-
For cardio I do not wear shoes. For lifting I generally wear my husbands flip flops unless I'm going to the trail afterward and then I'll wear sneaks. It doesn't hurt my feet or ankles at all. Edited to change where to wear. Geesh.

Some great ideas, thanks so much. :flowerforyou:

Sure you can! Just take it one step at a time. Start with one thing, like your water intake, and go from there. Its can be hard to climb a mountain but one step at a time will get you there. Hang in there! I've been there myself.

I'm pretty heavy still too and just finished stage 1. I'm currently in rest mode waiting for stage 2. I say go for it! Only thing, look for inches lost, not necessarily scale loss. You may gain a little in the beginning but it will most likely be water.

Good point! All the experts say things a little differently. I would compare what the nutritionist says against the American Diabetic Association and see if they match up. And the point about watching carbs but eating too few calories, also spot on. I have a habit of this and have actually had to STOP counting carbs…
