Hi all. Just it my info into the spreadsheet. Those "last 15 pounds" have been hanging around my belly for months and now I'm ready to get rid of them for good. I've had a lot success with groups like this in the past so I guess that makes me a veteran of sorts. I freely share information that I've picked up over the years…

Too many. Probably 8 - 10. But it's usually healthier choices these days.

Hi all. Just got my basic kit yesterday, read through everything last night and did the fitness test. I just turned 48, I'm married and have 3 kids. I need to stay healthy for myself and for them so I thought I'd give this a try. Myfitnesspal has been great to me with all the support I've been getting from guys like you! I…

Thanks Busymomo. Good info. I was referring to p90x3 and there is something else that caught my attention. Apparently there are different workout plans: Mass, Lean, Normal...etc. Is each of these plans supposed to help you lose weight with an emphasis on that particular goal? For example, if I do the mass workout should I…

The short answer is yes you can drop 2 pounds a week but it my not be fat loss. I agree with Pink. With a BMI of roughly 20, weight loss shouldn't be your focus. You should probably concentrate on strength training.

I'd like to take a second and say thank you to everyone who took time to contribute to this thread. I posted a similar question regarding heart rate monitors (not bras) and got zero feedback.

Healthy weight loss can be up to 4 pounds a week but i would agree that 15 - 20 in 10 weeks is reasonable and very achievable. Any more than 4 pounds tends to lead to rebound weight gain. As far as veggies vs. fruit, which ever keeps your calorie count down is ok. Fruit tends to have more sugar but pound for pound i…

Could not agree more. I'm 46 and although I am not in as good a shape as I was when I was in my 20s, I don't feel it has anything to do with slow metabolism. I think it has more to do with having more responsibilities. Raising kids, checking up on elderly parents, advancing a career. All of it takes time and wears you…

BTW, here is the original recipe from the SHAPE website: 2. 2-Minute Pumpkin Pie If you need a little something to satisfy your sweet tooth, whip up this 75-calorie pumpkin pie for one. This simple recipe, pared down to the most basic and common ingredients, only takes 2 minutes to make, but the end result tastes as…
