I cut beef from my diet also. I eat a lot of almonds, plain greek yogurt, eggs, chicken and fish for protein.

I love using quinoa instead of rice in stir-fries. It's also good inside of a wrap for lunch!

Thank you for all of your replies! This helps. I've just always seen articles about the Top 10 Pre-Workout/Post-Workout Foods! blah blah blah, and I never understood if there was an actual science to eating certain things before and after or if it's all just personal preference. Seems like it's the latter!

I am public! 1300 calories per day.

Laughing Cow all the way! I use it as a spread on sandwiches, a dip for crackers, and also mix it in with steamed broccoli. Mmm! Mm!

Can it be true??

I use it constantly. Yes, get into it!

Sounds like I just need to do some more home cookin'.

This is a bummer. :noway:

Ahhh, that stir fry sounds so good!

Good point. Noted! I've never tried Spicy V8, but I just looked it up and the low sodium version only has 140 mg of sodium. I may need to throw this on the grocery list next week.

Personally I think the main benefit is that it tastes better, haha , but it's nice that the calories are lower than regular milk too. I've also read that it has a lot of Vitamin D & E. "Almond Milk is great for your skin, because almonds are full of Vitamin E. One glass of Almond Milk gives you 1/2 of the Vitamin E that…

Ps. Glad I am not alone in the spicy world!

Ohh, great idea - thanks!!

WTG! How many calories did you add to your day? 1200 is a mental block for me, and anytime I go over is no bueno.
-
Wow, congratulations! You look awesome!

Not a fail, I agree with the other ladies - it was your birthday! :drinker: We all deserve a day off once in a while, and one day won't hurt you as long as you get back on the train!

I used to prefer the large lunch/small dinner option because of exactly what you're saying. Just relaxing after eating a large dinner didn't help in my progress. But now that I'm cooking for my family every night (not on a meal plan and like to EAT!), I save my biggest calorie meal for dinner and work out beforehand to…

Days off include yoga and a light bike ride. :)

Thongs are best for workouts in my opinion, or no undies.

Almond Milk all the way.

Buy! Losing weight has been better since I've had one. No more guessing the actual weight of what I'm eating.

I too am a desk worker and I love a good chocolate fix in the afternoon. Try just snacking on a small piece or two of DARK chocolate. I used to keep a bag of the Intense Dark Ghiradelli singles at my desk - for one square it's only 55 cal, 5g fat, 3g sugar.

I'm a little over 5'9". My heaviest was 200 lbs. and I was wearing a very tight size 14. A few years ago whenever I was weighing in at around 140-145, I could wear a size 4. (Goal Weight) Right now I weigh 167 lbs and I'm in a tight size 10, loose 12.

Anything dipped in Laughing Cow Cheese is so good!

Unfortunately all of the lower sodium lunch meats that I've tried still have too much sodium in them for me. I used to use lunch meat in my wraps and recently went all veggie with them because of this reason. Still just as delicious! But if you would like to keep the meat, maybe just cook up your own instead of buying it…
