  • Love meat! Bacon, burgers, chicken.. fish.. yummy. Yes, salmon is great fresh. Get wild caught though, less mercury content.
  • I am eating paleo, which is high protein, high fat, and I am having the same problem. I eat a ton of veggies and fruits, so I know it's not a fiber issue. I read at some places it could be low magnesium, so I am trying a suggested supplement called Natural Calm. I'll let you know if it works. :P
  • NROL4W is fantastic! I would definitely start there. Also check out NROL and NROL for Abs. :-) Great programs. I am doing NROL4A right now. Love it.
  • Too bad the only potential day I could do it is Sunday since I will be graduating from GMU with my Master's Saturday (WOOT WOOT) (or just hanging with my family)
  • You look amazing! What an inspiration! Congratulations! All of your hard work has paid off!
  • There is a strength training portion in the cardio logging. I usually burn quite a bit (according to my HRM or BodyMedia) and just log as cardio. I keep track of my actual moves in a notebook. :)
  • The best ones are Moving Comfort bras. I love them. I have the Juno bra (http://www.amazon.com/Moving-Comfort-Womens-Juno-Black/dp/B002T1FV3Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1327425397&sr=8-1) and also the Fiona: http://www.amazon.com/Moving-Comfort-Womens-Fiona-Black/dp/B001AP3SEY/ref=sr_1_1?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1327425432&sr=1-1…
  • Hi There. I have been doing this program since the beginning of January and just thought I'd check in. I have done NROL for Women before and am finding that I like this program much better because of the large muscle group combinations.
  • Hey there, I am in this Phase currently. I have done the workouts each 4 times now. Started beginning of January when my new gym opened. My next workout is Workout A on Sunday.
  • One of my coworkers, him & his fiance met on match.com. Honestly, that's why I decided to try it out.
  • Sometimes the dating sites work. I have used okcupid a lot in the past. It has introduced me to three of my past relationships. I am using that plus match.com. But I realized I was getting a little desperate for whatever reason and I have no need to be. So I just have my profile up on match and am not really trying as…
  • Definitely weight lift! I would suggest New Rules of Lifting for Women as a starting place. It will show you that muscle doesn't bulk you up and that strength is a good thing. I love strength training. When you can increase a body weight exercise by one rep or add 5 lbs to a weight lift, it is so encouraging. It gives you…
  • Insanity is an intense program. If you're having bad knee pain I'd suggest cutting back, maybe doing it every other day instead of every day like the program suggests. Insanity is when a stress fracture appeared in my foot, so if you are having pain I'd suggest easing up to take care of yourself.
  • That is what is appealing about CrossFit I think. The fact that people develop this intimate family of others to support and help them. Honestly, I think it is whatever floats your boat. Many love it, and I would consider joining a gym if I could afford it. It's the experience, the hard work, and the close knit group that…
  • I am trying to just get rid of the fat, if a six pack shows up, great. I'd love it. If not, I'll be happy too. Though when I am seeing muscle ripples in my abdomen now, so I can only imagine what it is going to look like when I get rid of all the fat I want to.
  • <-- I get my profile picture and tons of pictures of my fitness and knitting.. no joke.
  • I'd love to learn more about linux. I have yet to install it on a computer but I want to learn all about it and do so.
  • Current Job: Graduate Student / Associate Scientist Dream Job: Information Architect and/or Usability / User Experience Professional. On my way to getting there. :-)
  • Great job! Huge difference!
  • I get like that sometimes also. But it's a vicious cycle. It is really discouraging when you've been working so hard and you're about the same as you were before. Just keep being healthy, and if you lose weight, fantastic. Slow progress is a good thing, it means you're more likely to maintain that progress afterwards.
  • Moving Comfort Juno or Fiona. Best bras ever. :)
  • Well, I am single.. and I do like being single right now because I am working on myself -- my career, my fitness, my physique, my friends, and family. Of course I would like to be in a relationship, but I am doing what I can now by enjoying the freedom I have - the freedom to go out and not tell somewhere where I am going,…
  • I have done dating websites (mainly okcupid.com) and have gone on many dates, some were freaks on the first date. Some didn't show their freak until the second date (or rudeness until then). I have met three boyfriends from okcupid though, in the past, they just didn't work out in the long haul. For the near future though,…
  • I am certainly open to looking to meet someone. But, the key is now I have so much more confidence than I used to. I have dated this guy a few times that I really like, who I gave my card to on an airplane! (yes, I met him on Southwest airlines, he sat next to me). He never asked for my number, I just handed him my card…
  • Well, to get the results the program advertises - you should follow their schedule. However, I now mix it up when I feel like it - just as long as you don't do HIIT two days back to back or more than four times a week, I think you will be okay. For a well balanced program, I'd suggest strength training three times a week…
  • Hi all, I am just posting to tag and follow this post.. you all are an inspiration to me. I have been having a tough time with an injury, but am going to start recovering soon and getting back into the swing of things. Love all that you guys support!
  • Clearly I haven't been as active in this thread as I wanted, you all are chatty ladies. I am just tagging this thread so I can follow you when you open a new thread. I have been having a hard time lately with an injury, but I am getting back on track. Hope you all are well!
  • Hey girl! You are looking great - great progress! Really, I don't like the idea of closed groups.. but that seems to be the trend recently. I am not a busy mom, but there are a few in our group and we are certainly an open group (have been one since we started August 2009! Sometimes things are a little slow over there (we…
  • You all are my inspiration. I hope to have as beautiful abs as all of you soon, but I am totally stuck. haha. I eat a lot of food too. My body is just not cooperating with my plans right now
