I've had to go a size and a half up from my normal one to get a running shoe that is not battering my poor toes. I'd try a slightly bigger trainer - ideally get a proper running shop advice

You have the prettiest smile! I just always look slightly dissatisfied on photos :D Also, 5'3" around 140 now and working on just tightening it all back up again a bit, no real goal weight in mind more interested in seeing a bit of muscle tone again than the number on the scale. My usual to go hard at the gym but I had to…

Mine is more rounded on top, I have a definite bottom now so I would say yes it makes a difference

Ha yeah the high reps really seem taxing even though it is bodyweight stuff. It's tough with the number of reps I find it difficult to feel like I am making progress - I can't rack the weights up like I would for 5 reps! I enjoyed my B day yesterday although I am a bit sore from it today. I really struggle with the…

@fanncy0626 it's strong curves, tbh I up the weight more often than I need and just kind of keep it over 10 reps, it seems to work for now - further in the program it gets in to 5 sets of heavy reps. To be fair yesterday it killed me but I forgot I had cycled to work in the morning for a change! I am uk based so english…

Tough day today. Single leg hip thrusts which are hard anyway and in sets of supposedly 20 - I did 3 of 15! supersetted with chin ups. I managed 2 sets of 4 assisted with 15kg and one of 3 plus a negative Then dumbell step ups - again in theory 20 I managed 14s with 2 10kg dumbell supersets with 8 reps of OHP - still…

I admit I do a very quick warm up (I run down the stairs at work) and I do keep the rests very short - 30-60 seconds but I am pretty sure I read somewhere he suggests 90s max rest anyway. I got fed up with 5x5 because I was spending more time resting than lifting - I can live without it being a true progressive overload.…

I love it - i can get it done in my lunch break! Except like this week when there are too many boyz in the weight room doing pullups and dips in the rack :unamused:

I never ever get that far @andyllll Something always gets in the way of my routine and I end up starting over. @ninagray000 B is my toughest workout too, C is my favourite though
-
Today was a struggle, my legs have not really forgiven me for Monday yet! Still, managed a strong curves B day which for me is the toughest day, A and C have more in common with 5x5 and are a bit more relateable so forgive me if this is gobbledegook to 5x5ers 3 sets of: 12 single leg hip thrusts followed by 3 assisted…

Are you new to this? I find B is much harder than A or C and really kicks my glues (literally) I tend to be quite quad dominant and if I am not careful I find they do more than they should but I really don't find I need to focus on glute activation on B!

Feeling the need to show my face and go for a nit more accountability... So, I sort of mix strong curves and 5x5 a bit depending on what space is available at the gym. And some days I just play with a kettlebell! Started with 5x5 today as there were no benches but the area emptied mid way through my squats so I switch to…

Ooh I do Strong Curves (sporadically) I like it a lot though and did notice a difference in my glutes - higher and rounder

Can you cycle at all? I realise that may sound dumb when you say you can't walk but not sure if it is the motion or the act of the foot hitting the floor that is the issue. Also the hand bike suggestion is good. And I think you can get a thing like a loop of rope which you pull round, that might work

I don't fall in to the category but I have no words, 4 tins of beans weighs that much, how would you ever carry shopping. And what about preventing osteopirosis by high impact stuff and lifting to build bone density? What sort of doctor was this? Not being funny but maybe if they are a specialist they may have a very…

I can do strongcurves in my lunch but stretching and warm up is minimal

Still lifting but not just 5 x 5 However after a couple of weeks not training and a few before that being hit and miss I was back at it this morning. One of my lifts currently is an American Deadlift, 3 sets of 5, I geneally hit about 60kg for this but today the rack was in use so I figured I would do regular deads at…

My lock cost me a pound. The shoe idea is good but I wear skechers with the elastic no laces lol! Also, I lose the locks so I shall stick with my cheap one too!

I keep my key in my bra cup. My attitude is I am getting undressed anyway so what the heck!

Excellent article - spot on in so many ways.

A second for Strong Curves - various 12 week programs in the book to suit novice to more advanced

Oh my goodness this is so relevant for where I am now. As a child I was pretty solid (not fat just sturdy) and have always been quite bottom heavy and earth bound. I never ever could do a hand stand, head stand, cartwheel or even monkey bars. Now as a stronger adult I have been wondering if these might be acheivable goals.…

I lift a bit - heavy for me anyway (although I seem to have lost the SL group with the new boards)

How to use the elliptical to shape your booty... Use it as a 5 to 10 minute warm up before lifting
-
I had a look at the youtube, I have a very strong pelvic tilt, I think that is part of why I need to bend at the knees. It concerns me less now though - you who know more than me seem to think it's par for the course so I shall just keep on keeping on!

40 minutes heavy lifting at lunch and an hour cycling with my dogs tonight although that is minimal exertion on my part but the dogs love it
-
Thanks folks I feel better about them now Heavy weight Good Mornings... Not sure mine would qualify for that, I am pretty new to them - about 10kgs on the bar so 30kg altogether! I do keep my back flat and don't hunch, the bar seems to sit pretty low I find. Video would be appreciated - I looked it up on one site or other…
