  • I also stopped for the same reasons, had a COCA COLA addiction since I was a kid...stopped cold turkey and now it's water and Canada Dry Lemon Lime Seltzer for me because I still like a little fizz when I eat dinner and of course water and tea.
  • Because of my dog, my cats, my kids, and the occasional husband passing through with a sausage and pepper hero I decided to RUN and get a gym membership!
  • Open to view now, I was hesitant for a long while but I don't care now, everyone is different and I thought if I or someone else can get some healthy ideas from another friend than so be it...it's also great leaving it open so you don't beat yourself up for not being as "healthy" as you should but you see others still…
  • Ha! That is so true...it goes by the menu you log on that particular day and I guess it warns us if we keep it up we will pass out on a treadmill from starvation or we will be bigger than we want to be. I get a kick out of it, I find myself altering my daily menu until I hit my goal number and that's what I TRY to stick to…
  • I too drink until urine is clear, and to keep it clear some days it's more than others considering what I have eaten...I happen to like water though and I drink it whenever I'm thirsty :)

  • I have read a few pages in this thread although not ALL so forgive me if this has been said...on my fast days I feel fantastic and really enjoy my dinners because of it. I do it 2 days a week from 6 pm- 6pm as well. I just wanted to add that if I am feeling that I want something I will have an 8 oz. cup of non fat plain…
  • I have the reebok ones, got them for Christmas. I can say that at first it was a little wobbly (feeling, not looking Thank goodness) there are small instability pods on the bottom, like the ones in the gym. That is what is supposed to make the legs work themselves as you walk. They are nice looking too, no one would even…

  • I just took a week break last week after 12 weeks strength training 3x a week and martial arts every weeknight. It absolutley did not feel right, I felt like I was being lazy. I didn't notice any difference in strength though, as soon as I went back to everything it was like I never left. I will definitely do this again if…
  • Is this serious? If so, you need to rethink your caloric intake NOW. How do you actually function through the day? Your mind must be foggy or soon will be. Your skin, hair, teeth and all your organs need more. I am 5'6" and I was 120 and sickly looking. I put on 4 pounds and look like a different person. I hope you buckle…

(He's small but needs to shed a couple of lbs.) Five nights a week-Martial Arts Three Days a Week-Strength Training Saturdays- Bike Riding, (this is really my off day) or an hour walk with pooch to the park and walk around and sit down and have lunch there.
  • Mine is at 75 and I have been exercising pretty hard for a long time. I have never remembered to do this in the am before the HRM. I slept with the chest strap and watch on (uncomfortable) and I still forgot. I remembered when both feet were on the floor!! :grumble: I will be trying until I finally get it.
  • Hello and welcome to MFP Jen, the one tip I have would be to take advantage of the message boards. They are fun, funny, inspirational, full of info and packed with great people all working together in the name of health. Jump in any time!!:flowerforyou:
  • I have tried all of the above, currently I am drinking skim milk again, who knows what I'll want a week from now. I found a site once that you can make your own almond milk, haven't tried it. I guess it is whatever your taste is, I like them all really.
  • Your resting heart rate varies from person to person, and a HRM can track it for you. I JUST got a polar f6, there are different kinds depending on what activities you are doing. heartratemonitorsusa.com is where I got mine, a lot to choose from. Your resting heart rate is best measured when you first wake up in the…
  • Low resting heart rate is good, yes. Good for you it's something I've been keeping an eye on myself and it's still a little too high for me. :grumble: Is there anything you would recommend?
  • I'm on here to log food I'm on here to log exercise I'm on here intermittenly all day long just to read the message boards and reply to them!! It's crazy isn't it? My new obsession MFP who knew? Love it
  • You need to seek therapy first of all, for your health and for your children's sake. Please go. I feel the desperation in your words and it pains me to read. If you are surrounded by ANYONE that will take some of the load off of you I would take the help as well. Such as, doing your food shopping so that only healthy foods…
