I'm very similar to you, 47 years old, 5'2", started at 160 but I'm now down about 6 pounds (from Jan 1). I was 105 in my early 20's. I don't expect to be 105 again but 120 would be nice! Add me if you'd like some support; I'd love a few new friends.

I forgot to mention that stress and anxiety issues can play a HUGE role in IBS. I was given an anti-depressant at one point to help calm my IBS and it worked wonders.

I agree with Shinelikevegas that you should first try to find trigger foods. Unfortunately, you may eat that food with no reaction on a good day but on a bad day, it may grumble everything up in there! This is the kind of IBS I have. I have been to doctors and have had tests and there is no physical reason for my issues…

I'm 5'2.5" and I gained 40 with my first baby and 60 with my second. If I could go back and do it again, I would diet like crazy so I wouldn't have gained so much (got stretch marks horribly).

You are not alone. I, too, am on my first week and have had a headache every day. I've been drinking lots of water and coffee too. I'm the same way; once I get the exercise done, I'm glad I did it. It's dragging myself out to do it that's hard!
