  • Die hard POKE fan.... Like to say I cheer for ou when they aren't playing my Cowboys, but I don't want to lie, b/c I just can't bring myself to do it! RIDE 'EM COWBOYS
  • I had my first baby in January. I had to have a c-section b/c he was breech. I gained over 60lbs while I was pregnant! I believe most of it was water weight b/c I was down almost 40lbs 2 weeks after having him. I dropped another 10 in about 3 months, but I have been struggling with this last 10! I have definitely put on a…
  • It just depends on the person and their doctor. I had a c-section, went in for my PP check after 3 weeks. Doctor told me everything looked fine and I could do what I felt like. I started lifting and cardio at 4 weeks PP. I wasn't able to lunges, squats, or a whole lot that used my core b/c it was so weak, but by about 8…
  • My little guy is 3 and a half months old today. I will tell you the first month was absolutely awful. I honestly looked at him several times and thought what did I get myself into? I didn't think I could ever do this mom thing! I thought why do all these women constantly talk about motherhood being the best or how much…
  • I think a lot of people would admit that working your lower abs is one of the toughest areas to work. I know it is for me rignt now b/c I just had c-section a little over 3 months ago! I kind of feel like I"m starting for scratch right now. In reality to lose your "rolls" you will have to continue to lose fat, but…
  • Yes I would definitely take a rest day or two a week. Not only do you risk burning out quickly, but your body does need time to recover!
  • No better time to start your journey to a healthier you than today!!! Sounds cliche but it really is true!
  • More protein and typically less sugar!
  • Ready for the spring game as well! Going to take our almost 4 month old to it if the weather cooperates! He's a really good baby and LOVES to be outside, so hopefully we'll make it through the whole thing!
  • Hey Sheilah! I live in Edmond and work in Midwest City (well i'm starting a job in midwest city in a week)! I had a baby January 4th and I am trying to get all this baby weight off!
  • I've been playing around with after work out protein drinks/smoothies. May favorite one I've found recently is... Ice Vanilla protein powder Coffee (whatever is left over in the pot from that morning) 1 TBS of Peanut butter 1 TBS of chocolate chips Blend until smooth... Has less than 300 calories and is YUMMY!
  • Yep this ^^^!!
  • Abs are made in the kitchen! Its all about diet!
  • Right now i'm doing it on my lunch hour (or 1 and 15 min). That's going to change when I start my new job in about a week and a half. Its going to be difficult then b/c I'll need to leave the house by 7 and its taking about 2 hours to get out the door in the morning with having to pump and get myself and the baby ready.…
  • Yes! I had a C-section January 4th! I gained 60ish pounds and have probably 5-8 to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but need to add probably 5-10 in muscle to get my pre-pregnancy shape back (if that is even possible)!!
  • I had a planned C-section 3 and a half months ago... little guy has a large head and got turned breech about 36 weeks, then ran out of room to turn back down. I'm finding out how much excercises such as squats, lunges, and push ups/planks really do work your core. Before I was pregnant i guess my core was decently strong…
  • What does your sodium and sugar in takes look like? As far as vegetables to eat, I like to take zucchini and squash slice them real thin, sprinkle with olive oil, sprinkle on some Mrs Dash seasoning, and then roast them in the oven.
  • I think the best way to build strength is to do pyramids. Do 12 reps at say 70, 10 reps at 80, and 8 reps at 90.
  • This can be true, but every woman is different. Most of the weight put on during pregnancy is different than just putting weight on by poor diet. Like I said i gained 60 lbs, left the hospital about 15 lbs lighter, but lost nearly 40 lbs the first 2 weeks. Apparently I was very full of fluid. If I had to guess I had maybe…
  • Continue to eat healthy and do moderate excercise during your pregnancy then you can pick up right where you left off after the baby comes! My little guy is 3 and a half months and I absolutely ADORE him. I gained almost 60 lbs and have 5 left to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. No that weight isn't going to…
  • Sounds like you are making a lot of good changes for your body, but at first all these changes can shock your body a little bit. Working out and drinking more water can cause your body to retain water at first. You are losing inches so that's a good thing! You might try staying off the scale (I know easier said than done)…
  • I made this and put it on a Joseph's oat bran and flax seed wrap! It was YUMMY!!!
  • Bump!! I got the water thing down, it is ALL i ever drink! Hoping to get all my gym trips in this week, having a 3 month old makes it difficult!
  • There is a difference between being sore and being in pain. If you are just sore I would suggest stretching really good, drinking lots of water, and just going for it. I personally find once I get myself moving the soreness kind of starts to work itself out. However, if you are in pain like you injured yourself, joint or…
  • I'm in! Need some motivation to get the rest of my baby weight off!!! Name/ real name: kjensen15/Krista Current Weight: 154 Challenge Goal Weight: 140 04/09: 153.6 04/16: 04/23: 04/30: 05/07: <<150>>> 05/14: 05/21: 05/28: 06/04: <<<145>>> 06/11: 06/18: 06/25: 07/02: <<<140>>>
  • Oh no.. Ol'Roy is the WORST thing you can feed a pet! It is nothing but fillers, NO nutrition, which is why it is so cheap! The dogs make look fat and happy but it is all bloat!
  • That's an interesting question and would be an interesting study. There are so many possible mental side effects when you go low/no carb it could possibly trigger panic attacks in someone that had a history of them.
  • I agree with everyone else. The biggest discrepencies I've found is the calories is calculates for lifting weights. There is a substantial difference in the calories I burn when I lift my legs then when I lift my upper body. I also typically do super sets when lifting in order to get my workout completed quicker, so I…
