What's the atmosphere going to be like and what sorts of folks to you hope to attract? Is it country? City? Family? Yuppie? I'd think of a name that relates to the type of place you'd like to have!

The advertising they work into the show is getting to be too much! The contestants often have gotten where they are because of emotional issues and life situations that they have to recognize and deal with in order to make change. That part's very interesting to me, for some reason.

I hope to work out on the elliptical I have in the basement. Then I like to meditate for 15-20 minutes afterwords. I 200 cal enough for dinner? It's good to eat well and be mindful - but don't be too hard on yourself!

Is he handy? Have any small or medium projects he could do that don't take a lot of time and money? That sure can help! Us guys don't mind a little gift from time to time as well. I got a nice work light recently to use for tinkering with the cars - and I love it! Hope things work out OK with his job...

I've got a section of hiking trail I maintain in Eastern CT, so I spend a bit of time up there! I've been wondering about this too! some of the entries in the database say "1 cup cooked", so I tend to pick those and questimate. Been losing about a pound a week for the past month, so I guess that's working!

Also, a good elliptical trainer can give you the feeling of running to a large extent with less impact. Keep your eye out for sales and they can be found used pretty often - unless you have a gym membership!

I agree that counseling might be a good idea. Sometimes we just need someone to give us an outside point of view. It doesn't mean there's anything "wrong" necessarily. A good counselor could help you understand what triggers might cause a lapse - or even help you to think about what the best goals are, for you!

I've been eating somewhat less than recommended. According to my diary that is, though I figure I probably underestimate some as most people do apparently! With that, I've been losing a pound a week for the past month, so it seems to be working! How long have you been at this, and how's progress so far?

It might be good to make sure you eat first if you are going to have a drink. The alcohol will be absorbed more slowly so you should be less likely to get carried away... Also, you can have a glass with tonic water and lime -- and no one will know you're abstaining!

I'm working on getting exercise every day, or most days at least, to get back in shape and help lose weight. So it makes sense to me to make sure I'm eating enough if I'm going to shed some fat and build some muscle. So I eat at least some of those "extra" calories. I think it's hard to measure calorie intake and expend…
