Hi, I am over 60 and was on MFP about 5 years ago and lost 40+ lbs...and most I have gained back, unfortunately. Starting over and want to get the weight off...most of my clothes are way too tight! I have 2 knee replacements, am retired from teaching at an University , live at the beach and enjoy road cycling, decorating…

Buy organic and wash your veggies and fruit before prep or consumption. Poison is eating GMO foods, meat, sugar, and especially dairy. Stay Plant-Strong, my friends!

I can hear your passion for running in your post....however, my suggestion is to find another sport that you can workout hard and get satisfaction from without injuring your knees any further. Once you have osteoarthritis...it does not get better. Weight loss helps with pressure on your knee and keeping active…

For some reason, I always think of Oprah when I see or hear these kind of things! You know, she is one of the richest people in the world, yet she is over weight and is open about her constant struggle with weight loss. Here this woman has all the money in the world and could buy any type of weight loss gimmick, any type…

I'm committed to eating plant strong & staying at 1200 calories. However, I exercise typically 5 or more days a week. I find it too hard to plug in my exercise and calories for meals and try to keep at 1200 calories on MFP. ( don't like subtracting exercise added calories for minutes of exercise)! So what I do is in the…

So here I am, the constant yo-yo dieter. However, as old as I am (I'm in my early 60's), I'm still at it...and "it" seems to be working. (^-^) ! YEAH!!! I've tried every diet...been on WW twice (hated the meetings); been to a "diet" doc that had me take diet pills that left me spacy and wacked out; tried the atkins...you…

Eat an apple! The sweetness will help with cravings, it is healthy, has fiber and is good for you! Then....get away from temptation--take a walk, do something busy and away from food. Good luck...we all have been there! Hang in there :-)

Brown Rice with Black Bean, Corn & Tomato (vegetarian) This is my "go-to" easy and very nutritious recipe that I use all the time!!! It stores well in the refrig. You can eat it hot as it is, or cold. It makes a great filling for a wrap, or as taco filling (just add salsa); it can be a main course or use as a side salad.…
