201 here, started at 245. I'm doing a slow and steady method, focusing on strength training, so I'm not losing super fast, which I'm ok with. Feel free to add me :)

Last lift was Saturday, hopefully I'll squeeze in another tonight after my work party (darn holidays...). Was a quick one, because I'd conned my workout buddy into a quick lift before her coffee date... 5x5 Squats @ 175lbs (felt ok, not the best, but MUCH better than before I deloaded my squats a while back) 5x5 OHP @ 75…

To mix it up, some really awesome BBC/European shows, some only have a few seasons so far so not sure they would classify as binge watching: - Sherlock - The Fall (season 2 is almost finished) - Luther - Les Revenants - Broadchurch

Someone saw my license and said it "did me no favours at all". Win!
-
Way to go! I think it's quite funny with you skinny and the chubby cat in the one photo, heh.

I have a relatively flat pair of UA trainers I use. Tried using my chucks but they're just too worn out at this point; couldn't feel much of a difference regardless. Also have a pair of flatter runners, that work ok in a pinch.

So a few (I don't have a top 10 - I'd get bored too fast): Cat Empire - Days Like These Streetlight Manifesto - Keasbey Nights Awolnation - Sail Halestorm - Love Bites (So Do I) / I miss the Misery (tie?) The Damned Things - Friday Night / Bad Blood MSTRKRFT - Heartbreaker Biffy Clyro - Who's Got a Match? Anything Girl…

Off to make the ultimate Grooveshark playlist out of all of this. I love Cat Empire but it's getting a bit overused these days. Gotta mix it up.
-
Modifying my diet so I can be healthy while still eating foods I love and enjoy. Moderation ftw.
-
'A couple of cheat days' really add up. Good luck.

I hit 199 two weeks ago, have been hover at 201-203 over the past few weeks. Started at 245. a year ago. I'm really focussed on strength training and it's tough on a deficit.

What an amazing change, and you were gorgeous before. As I scrolled down I was like, I dunno, she's hot anyway. Then bam! Blown away.
-
I'd giver her a shot - I picked my dietitian just because she was close. If she had been obese, I'd listen to her recommendations and see if they bore results. It's about me, not her. It helped me portion control and make better decisions about food, so even when I don't track super accurately, it is easier to maintain my…

Your face says it all. I LOVE it.

Way to go! ~ Another "morbidly obese" to "obese class 1" MFP'er

Knocked Up, or anything with Katherine Heigl. I also hated Crank. I think it was because the dude I was with at the time was in love with it and made me watch it three times. Ugh. (Although I am a sucker for any bad horror movie, so I saw so many of those on people's lists and got pretty sad going through this :()

Joining a gym is a great start! Find one that fits your needs and schedule and go from there. It will be well invested to find a trainer (and make it clear what you would like help with), or a friend experienced in lifting, to work with in the beginning on form. Each program also has vast amounts of videos and information…

See I've tried doing this it's weird. a) I'm also not super hungry when I wake up but b) as soon as I eat a bit, I feel ravenous. Then I eat a bit more (say another slice of toast). Soon it ends up being a "big" breakfast. I agree though - if you aren't hungry, don't eat until you are, or have a small breakfast. I'm sure…

Yes it happens, but I have just as many skinny, or non obese, friends that need encouragement to go meet women - and I don't want to sleep with them either..

I think to call it motivation would be almost inaccurate. I like to think of motivation as positive, and shame just doesn't seem positive to me. Plus, you're flexing in the month ago picture! We can't be too hard on ourselves. That said, ya, when I'm up a pound or two after a slack week, I use that "motivation" to get my…

Back after a kind of inadvertent rest week, since Monday. I think it was kind of needed - was nice to hit the gym at lunch today. Squats - 5x5 @ 165 lbs (stayed here just because there aren't any nice 2.5's at my work), felt nice and easy, just one rep where my form failed because I was distracted OHP - 5x5 @ 75 - first…
-
Oh - I've also never heard of "phony fatso flattery" before...
-
A consult with a trainer to work on form in the beginning will be absolutely fine. The problem lies when they have no idea about proper form, or what kind of program you're looking to get into - and they just try and put all clients on the same track/program regardless of individual goals. I know I see a lot people working…
-
Those legs! Very impressive numbers for someone your size! Especially that squat... dang.
-
Well there is a lot more to you than your weight. Also, you will never meet anyone if you don't get out there. Likely what they were trying to say =) I also find some bigger people, including myself, have a very negative picture of themselves, and only see the negatives (ie. a large weight).
-
Lipo is definitely NOT the option right now when admittedly you are not logging accurately. Try that first for a good few months and report back.
-
I have to say feel free to add me! Horseback riding lifters are my favourite ;) we're few and far between! I second watching some videos and finding a beginner program that works for you. For me it helped having someone I know 'show me the ropes' and I went to an intro crossfit class that for an hour just focused on proper…

I know right! Way to go, a great inspiration =) My SO is a bit large and also a gamer, so I'll pass the story along.

Likewise, when you get sick of a playlist it sucks. Ruins my workout mood, until I find another one that fits my mood better...

Another "find something you love to do" - join a rec league, try something else at the gym, hit up some classes. I found I really love boxing, just do too much other stuff to commit to.
