I think being at work helps with the food of you are in a mindset that it will, no time to snack and if you take as packed lunch then you can manage what you eat. Time to exercise is so much harder, I haven't worked that one out :-(

That's fantastic progress. Well done you.

You look so fit now.

You look great. What exercise have you been doing?

Hello Almost 5 ft 9" just a shade under). I want to be 145 or so. Any less is not sustainable for me. Interesting to see the range on here.

Eat mainly healthy food in as close to natural state as possible, eat less calories than you burn (but eat a decent amount each day) move more and you wil weigh less and get fitter. It takes time so allow yourself some less healthy food that you love but in moderation or you will be very bored with your diet. Factor…

Oh, and I can run now. At around 210 I did my first 5k race and finished at 32:56. And the other day my I beat my mile record at 9:36. At this point, I'm all about working out. The weightloss is just secondary, I love getting stronger and running faster. I can do 20 normal pushups in a set, I know 140lb women who can't do…

It works if you just plod on with it. Once I got past week 6 it was a big hurdle jumped in my head. Don't run too quickly and find a version of the program that you like. I used the nhs free downloads. Keep on running!

You look fantastic. Well done.

Mfp is free which is a huge factor in why I use it and not WW. Also feel that the emphasis here is fitness and not just weight loss, or perhaps that is because I have been careful who I add as friends and what I read/pay attention to? I started C25K because of this site, and am glad I did as now I am much fitter than…

Brilliant. You look fantastic. Here's to 2013 and a fit year!
-
That is fantastic. Well done, and more than two thirds of the way to your goal. 2013 will be the year!

You look great. Have you looked at the C25 K programmes for running? The nhs do a free download one which is good.
-
Wow, keep going! You look so great and have come a long way.
-
Hurrah for good sewing skills. And of course for the need for them. Hope the therapy goes well.

C25 K is great. I used to loathe running but am actually starting to like it. On week 8 of C25 k now and running for 28 minutes.
-
Beautiful dress, you look great. Well done you. Have a great birthday.

Hello I had never run either yet I am starting week 8 of C25K tomorrow. Week 7 is 25 minutes of running and I can do that. I was very unfit when I began and had to do week 1 for three weeks because I couldn't do 'all' the running minutes... since then I have progressed according to the weekly programme. I use the nhs C25K…

Fantastic. Well done.

You look great. And I love your goal of wanting to be someone who looks healthy.

I think that she has said it all. I have lost 22 lbs and am waiting for somebody (other than my Mum, my lovely husband and my friend who runs) to notice...
-
well done! I can see a difference, and hopefully you feel better and healthier.
-
You look so much healthier. Excellent work.

Do look ahead! Be prepared. I did Week 5 run 3 today and I could do it. Me who had to repeat week 1 three times (and I don't mean three runs in a week, no, I did week 1 for three weeks running - or not running as it turned out.....). Anyway, the plan works, even for those as unfit as I am. I can now run for 20 minutes.…

Hmmm. Lots of interesting stories. What a range of experiences. DH has always seemed to "find me attractive" but at 40 lbs heavier than when we got married and 30lbs heavier than when we met (yes, I lost 10lbs for our wedding) I wasn't feeling so attactive... He has been brilliant about buying healthier food in the…

Hello. I am not a runner yet today I ran week 5 run 2 and managed it. Warm up walk for 5 mins, run for 8 mins, 5 min walk and another 8 minute run followed by 5 min cool down walk. When I started week 1 I was so unfit I couldn't do all of the run minutes and was gasping and feeling grim. I repeated week 1 for 3 weeks!…
