  • Last night I ran a mile and a half (20 minutes) and did not stop or slow down!

    Is it even possible to go any slower?

    OP- That's fantastic! One of the biggest mistakes new runners make is by trying to go too fast. Going at a comfortable speed for you will help you build a base of endurance, and you can always speed up later on if you want to! You're doing it the absolute right way to avoid injury and be successful. More people would end up as runners if they started like you have. Don't start pushing your speed too hard because some internet A-hole made a stupid comment- you're doing it right as is. Well Done!!!

    Thanks for this I honestly got dicouraged when I read that and almost deleted my post... Im glad I didnt now and thanks again so much. I may not be fast yet but for a girl like me its something I am very proud of!

  • thats an incredible achievment!! great job!! how did you get into running? i have heard such great things but i personally have such a hard time with running that i get discouraged and give up : ( any tips to help me catch the running bug as well?

    C25 K is great. I used to loathe running but am actually starting to like it. On week 8 of C25 k now and running for 28 minutes.
