Hmmm....basically just counting calories. And, no, it's just my family Dr. that I've talked to. I am going to try fish oil...several people have suggested that.

I ride a stationary bike quite often for my exercise. My bike says anywhere between 150-200 calories for 30 minutes. (I do think I burn more than that though) It has different routes with different resistance. MFP calculates much more for that length of ride, but I'm afraid it's too much, so I usually put in about 150…

It has taken me a little over 3 months to lose 23 pounds. I don't lose that fast, but it adds up, so just keep going. Before you know it, you'll have lost 20 pounds. You're doing great!

Okay, I am not at all a cholesterol expert (which is why I posted the question....). My Total cholesterol is 220 My HDL is 43 which I thought was okay...but, I guess could be higher My LDL cholesterol is 148 My ratio is 5.1 I have lost the weight mainly through diet, but with some exercise (about 3 times a week).

Well, last year my cholesterol was 204. This year it was 220 even though I've lost 20+ pounds.

I think sometimes we just do things out of habit. Like, normally you were hungry and anticipating eating when you got home, so now you have that same sensation just because you've arrived home...if that makes sense. I have a stationary bike that has different "routes"...some are harder than others. I moved it into the living room. I can ride it at night while I watch the TV shows that I would be watching anyway. :smile:

I am weighing every day. Some people only weigh once a week...or even once a month, but I am too impatient for that. However, I am realistic and know that everyone's weight fluctuates. I try not to get too upset if I'm up a little.
