  • protein generally is best although straight after a workout is the best time to eat anything as your metabolism is raised. but i'd say your best bet is some roast chicken or a pack of cooked chicken tikka/whatever or turkey.
  • i was the same. my weight fluctuates so much due to salt so trying to keep it down and drink more water
  • you need to go to a doctor and say all this to them. seriously. you're obviously at a high risk for developing an eating disorder and I say this from experience. You're going to get a lot of negative comments on this post but having had an eating disorder, I know what I'm talking about and I know the warning signs and the…
  • from what I understand, breakfast is ''important'' because it decreases the chance of snacking prior to lunchtime. Most people, if they don't have breakfast, cannot make it to lunch without some form of food and due to work/lack of time in general many people grab a quick (and usually unhealthy) snack such as…
  • i'm a recovered bulimic, also doing this the healthy way now :) feel free to add me.
  • la tasca in omni maybe? they have so much to choose from, some healthy some not so healthy! if you like the idea of tapas there is also cafe andaluz on george street which is AMAZING (probably better than la tasca if i'm being honest) and some really good healthy options. there is also cafe rouge on frederick street, it's…
  • i think first of all if your friends also have eating disorders it will be hard to get over yours. i am a recovering bulimic and its this warped view of when you start getting better, you almost miss the disorder. that of course will never make sense to anyone who hasn't had one, but it's almost like a security blanket has…
  • ginger helps settle your stomach and milk helps to neutralize your stomach from the curry so either of those. your body takes in calories from the moment you put food in your mouth so i wouldn't change the logging of your food, just to be on the safe side. you will have lost some calories but its impossible to tell how…
  • i havent done the six week six pack dvd but i've heard its really high intensity. try going on amazon and looking on reviews, you can usually find a lot that way. but in regard to your question i've definitely heard people saying that 30DS is easier than the six pack one.
  • i'm not an adventurous eater at all, i honest think squid rings or clams are probably the most adventurous thing i've eaten. but i have to say this is 100% the best thread EVER if you have cravings and don't want to give into them, 10mins looking at this and you are definitely no longer hungry.
  • yup it's for anyone and you can do whatever you want :) i sometimes do 6pack abs and 30 day shred. sometimes i just do one of them. sometimes i do 2 levels of the shred. sometimes i do the gym and 6pack abs. honestly you can just do whatever u want to do. if u go to the gym i would suggest 6pack abs.... i think 30day shred…
  • i've just finished level 3! when i started i couldnt do a single pressup even in the easy position. now i can do walking pressups, moving pressups, normal pressups LIKE A MAN! hahahaha. no seriously though, im so much stronger its unreal
  • recommended is once a week. it's a better indicator than every day (although i weigh myself usually every 1-2 days despite the fluctuation i'm just too impatient haha)
  • definitely! because your friend will be trying to eat a lot of calories, it's good to keep track of where the calories are coming from! its not a good idea just to eat rubbish to try and put on weight so it's good to monitor exactly what you're eating to make sure youre still getting the right nutrients and vitamins! and…
  • i suffered from an eating disorder for about 10 years, MFP is the best way i've found of monitoring what i eat so i know that i'm getting enough nutriets and trying to re-establish a healthy relationship with food. like the majority here, i'm using MFP to benefit my health even though to me that doesnt mean coach potato to…
  • it's 3 levels. you start on level one and do that til you no longer find it challenging. then move on to level 2 then level 3. each workout is 20 minutes. i don't do it every day either, maybe 3 days a week instead of going to the gym then gym the other days. it's good for muscles but not so good for cardio even though…
  • not seen anyone for me yet! :( female 5'6" CW: 124 GW: 112
  • i agree in the sense that i get a much bigger satisfaction out of losing another little bit of weight compared to the satisfaction of eating a chocolate bar in the sense that the weight loss motivates me and puts me in a positive frame of mind. however, i don't think t his saying really conveys that... it's more just a…
  • did you see any results in the time you've been doing it?
  • an increase in calorie intake CAN lead to a loss of weight since it shocks your body into burning more... but only for a bit while your body adjusts again. so i'd say it's obviously been good for you (and therefore dont worry about the occassional cheat day) but just continue with your diet now. you should continue losing…

  • above the neck rule. if it's above the neck eg a cold/sinus pressure then go for it but if it's below the neck eg sore tummy/chest problems etc then wait til it's better.
  • oh woah... that's amazing
  • yup elliptical trainer :)
  • i eat about 200-300 breakfast, 200-300 lunch, 300-400 dinner and allow the rest for any snacks. i'm on a 1200 diet too
  • yup totally know how you feel, i'm the same. i've heard high protein, low carbs is good for shifting belly fat. perhaps google low carb vegetarian diet to get ideas. also increase your cardio, things like running and swimming are good for shifting belly fat.
  • i log it as circuit training but i've seen other posts that talk about how much they've burnt with a heart monitor and it seems to be between 200-300 so i tend to log mine as 30 mins because 20 mins only comes up as 113 or something
  • sorry to hear you're going through a hard time :( try drinking smoothies. i find when i'm stressed etc it's easier to keep sipping smoothies between small meals than trying to eat bigger things. also peanuts/most types of nuts. fairly high in calories but healthy. or flapjacks/oaty thing. cheese is also good because it's…
