  • This! Brown rice sucks to cook and it doesn't have that much more fibre. I found that barley or quinoa can serve as a good substitute for rice with many dishes.
  • Hi, I am currently at 210. I have been on MFP for a year a now and have about 55 lbs total progress. So 2 weeks ago I was 218. I lost the eight pounds by utilizing the Tim Ferris slow carb diet. I think it's easy to make my calorie goal of 1660 with this diet and not feel hungry. I did enough exercise to burn 300 to 600…
  • For me, I choose to do slow carb. The carbs that I do eat have a lot of fiber. So I still eat bread, just whole wheat. I will eat sweet potatoes over regular potatoes because of the fiber content. Fiber one cereal, lots of beans, and high fiber pasta, and vegetables. I have hard time getting away from whit rice but I try…
  • She might be pretty for the science world, but if she is the hottest thing walking around London I feel sorry for the fellas out there. Migh as well hang out at the pub a little longer and put your beer goggles on.

  • Jacoby Jones mentioned on Dancing with the Stars that he runs 100 yards in 14 seconds. I doubt most of us are only 2 seconds behind a world class wide receiver. Nice try though troll. GET OFF MY THREAD!

  • I love that you guys respond so quickly and always so helpful. Just an FYI I plan on doing my sprinting outside. I tried going 10 mph on a treadmill and the thought of doing a face plant in the middle of a high intensity workout really freaks me out.

  • I try to stick with whats called slow carbs. They take longer to digest so they are less likely to become stored as fat. Thats how you separate "Good carbs from Bad carbs". It's a well known fact that whole grains are better for you than bleached flour. Maybe good vs. bad isn't the best way to describe it but the other…
  • I take them and I lose about 3-5 pounds a week but I diet and exercise so it's hard to say if they are working or not. I found a website that has top 10 fat burners for 2013. Check it out. http://workoutzilla.com/top-10-fat-burner-supplements-of-2013-with-reviews/
  • When I reach my initial goal of 200 (started at 261) it will be to switch from hardcore cardio to hardcore llifting. Ultimately when I'm done, I wanna see my stomach muscles for the first time ever.
  • I agree that this is not about autism. I think the fact that the child has autism adds to the distress that the mother felt. But this is typical behavior for a child that age. My grandson is 3 and he hates getting his haircut. I read in another post that the mother has brought her child in prevuiously for haircuts. If that…
  • Le me tell you something. Don't you dare let your father discourage you. I started MFP in 11/2012. I worked hard and run 5x a week and right now I am about 215 and I run 2 miles on the treadmill at 6.5 mph and feel good when I'm done. YOU CAN DO IT! • This a great idea. My daughter juices because she is not a huge fan of veggies but the right mixtures of fruit and veggies to offer some sweetness works wonders. She has been very successful with weight loss
  • I share your love for cheese. Honestly I try not to eat more than 1 serving a day and usually a white cheese. You could probably fit in 2 servings if you get reduced fat. To me more than 1 serving is splurging and it happens, just try not to make it everyday.
  • I completely understand your point. I had to make a lot of adjustments before using a diet that I could utilize for the long haul. But with something like pizza (My absolute favorite). The utter bliss that that first bite gives just makes me drop my guard. 1 piece is just a tease. I usually set aside one day where i can…
  • Yes! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBS! All the way. Double D's if you don't mind please.
  • if I take the opportunity to eat pizza i don't log. I know im going into the red.
  • For all the people that said "kick him to the curb" or "just because you married him doesn't mean you have to be the one to save him", you made my heart hurt. This is not her boyfriend it's the person she chose to spend the rest of her life with. I got the notion that the people that said that have never dealt with…
  • I imagine that the type of pills you have are some sort of opiate like oxy contin or oxy codone. I am very serious about this subject because I have 2 siblings and a son that are addicted to pain pills. They are highly addictive. They are a very difficult to break the habit. The addiction can completely change your…
  • I had my best results so far with slow carb. This is presented in the 4 hour body by Timothy Ferris. It's slightly different then low carb. The carbs you are allowed in abundance have high amounts of fiber attached to them. ie- veggies, lentils, beans. If you eat a lot of beans they help keep you full and not looking for…
  • there is a brand of chorizo that makes a soy version that is very good.

  • I'm curious to know what types of sausage are you inquiring about. I love sausages but try to keep them in moderation due to high calorie content. If you have an aldi's grocery store in your area they have a turkey kielbasa that is a much healthier option than it's counter part. Basically go for sausages that are…
