  • Hey I think maybe now you can use the snowshoes! I would like to go walking outside when the weather is nice, but with slick sidewalks/trails it makes me nervous. Anyhow...hope you have a good winter! Stay warm! :)
  • My goal si about145. When I was 18 I got down to 125 and everyone told me it was too thin...looking back at the pictures now, I have to agree that I did look gaunt, too thin. However, everyone's body is a little different so do what is best for you.
  • Cookies have been my food addiction since I was little. I still have a hard time passing up a cookie.
  • Add me if you'd like. A touch over 5'4" around 163, looking to drop about 15-20 pounds. Live in MN.
  • Add me if you'd like...we can all use a few more friends & encouragement!
  • Feel free to add me! I haven't been doing this long but I am hoping to get to my goal sometime this year! About 15 pounds to go!
  • Feel free to add me...my calories per MFP is 1200ish.
  • My first camera was a little purple 110 film camera from my mom. She bought it from Avon I think as a Christmas or birthday gift when I was a kid (about 12).
  • Hello everyone, my name is Amy. I have always loved taking photos - all kinds. I am the go to person in my family when it comes to get togethers. I prefer taking outdoor photos: portraits or nature. I have done graduation, individual, infant and family photos. I mainly do stuff for family & close friends, but last fall I…
  • I try to "play" on the Wii more. Do Wii Fitness Plus, Zumba, etc. Or I join some of my local community education activities, like fitness kickboxing or aqua aerobics.
  • Everyone has posted so many places for the cities...I don't get there often, but I want to write down your suggestions & try them. I like a place in St Cloud (believe they have another location in Sauk Rapids) called Pacific Wok. Limited menu, but healthy & good. I don't live in St Cloud, but if I go there I like to stop…
  • For me personally I started out with my Wii, it wasn't too intimidating and it got me moving. It isn't high impact or strenusous, but if you are doing nothing it is a start. I bought Wii Fit Plus, it has Aerobic, Strength and Yoga on it, and some other "games". I don't have the funds to get big equipment or do a gym, but…
  • Congratulations! Keep up the fantastic work!
  • Feel free to add me...I am in the same situation!
  • I have often wondered this myself. I personally don't count it - but then I usually don't count water even, I really don't keep track of that...don't know if it matters.
  • I bought a fitness watch - there seems to be many out there to choose from of varying prices - the one I got (not too expensive) seems to be pretty good & accurate. It has a pedometer & other features. I've only had it a few days but so far I like it!
  • I just got a fitness watch: basicly it monitors my steps, distance, time & I can check my heart rate. I have only used it a few days but I find that I do a lot more walking in a day than I had been entering. I have the same problem - worrying that the watch is accurate. But it seems to no be overly sensitive, so I am…
  • Take a Break! You need to let it heal or it will take you backwards even more. Rest for a few days & see how it feels. Start out slow & work your way back up. Resting it now & taking a few days off is a much better option to continuing to push it & causing damage that may require surgery or something. Try lifting free…
  • I generally do work out in the morning on an empty stomach, but it is usually low impact cardio/aerobics. I have heard you should eat something like a protien & carb before and a carb after (within a hour on either side). So something like an orange & some nuts or jerky. But I can't remember for certain which way you were…
  • Welcome & best of luck to you. I accepted your request!
  • Try to avoid things in a box or can, like Hamburger Helper. You need carbs - it's a fact, so cutting out breads and pasta all together is not the right approach. But maybe cut back on them. Protien & fiber keeps you full longer. Try to work in more fruits & veggies. All of those things aren't probably new really. And…
  • I know what you mean. I thought the same thing. And then I went to Hawaii & saw pics of myself & thought that I didn't want to look like that any longer.Plus I had an ankle injury at the time (still bothers me) and I figured all the extra weight wasn't good for me or my ankle. In May of 2011 I started my weightloss journey…
  • I haven't been on here long, but I am in the same situation of looking for friends & support. I added you...best of luck!
  • Get back to tracking and I think the suggestion of gum or sugar free hard candies or mints is a good idea to try. And be sure to reevaluate the things you are eating. Things that we think are "healthy" aren't always. Protien & fiber tend to keep us full longer. Best of luck!
  • I think trying to get him to exercise with you is a good idea. Do you have a Wii or xBox Kinect system? If you do maybe you 2 could "play games" together. It isn't high intensity, but if he isn't doing anything now it is a start. I know my kids like to beat the parents in scores or their siblings - just an idea. Best of…
  • Feel free to add me if you'd like. I am fairly new to MFP and trying my best to just stay motivated in watching my food. I am a mother of 3 ranging from 8 to 16. Best of luck to you.
  • Best of luck finding a time. For me I don't like to work out when my family is around, so I wait until the kids leave for school & try to squeeze in a half hour before I go to work.
  • Wow, you guys do way more than I do. I am lucky to get in 30 minutes a few times a week. Good luck to you all in the new year.
  • Similar in that I am starting again. I had been doing weight watchers for a little over a year, lost almost 70 pounds but then stopped due to not making meetings because of work & the cost of it (my hubby's laid off). A friend at work told me about this site so I just started about a week ago. Welcome back to the world of…
