Just made a banana cake. Nothing unnatural about it. But.... thanks?

I did this at one point. It's usually a doctor that runs a 'weight loss' clinic. He also prescribed me phentermine. :( OP, none of this is necessary.

I read What to Eat When You're Expecting..... but I lived on bagels and cream cheese and Ben & Jerry's throughout my pregnancies. As far as conception goes, we got pregnant the same month we started trying....all 3 times. Call me Fertile Myrtle, but that's what happened. And yes, folic acid is important. Good luck!

That's not true at all. It doesn't matter when you eat. Your body doesn't shut down at night. The only thing that matters, in terms of weight loss, it eating less than you burn.

Find some way to distract yourself. Choose not to put food in your mouth. Save some of your calories for a late night snack. Make sure you are eating enough fat and protein to help with satiety.

I always take it as a compliment. That article was really whiney.

Yep. The tailor is your friend. It's very inexpensive too.

Possibly a health food store, next to the xylitol?

If I am using the recipe builder, I always add them in. It's handy for when I make the recipe again. I make a lot of spice heavy dishes though, chilis, and curries.... It does add up.

I am pretty sure they mean the edible parts only.

Sliced cucumbers, pita chips, celery sticks, bagel chips, wheat thins.....

You can either not eat the food, or make the food fit into your day. It's entirely your decision what you put in your mouth.

You don't even need to cut out the sweets. :p

It's a vegan diet that restricts not only animal products, but also flour, sugars, corn syrup, caffeine, etc. Very restrictive.

A few brands to look for are, Endangered Species, Enjoy Life, Rice Dream, and I think some of the Green and Black bars may be dairy free. Do you have a Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, or a health food store nearby? That would be your best bet.

It won't happen until he is ready. Do what you are doing for you and be prepared that he may never be ready to make the change. Have a conversation and tell him you're concerned about his health, but leave it at that. Nagging (not saying you are) won't help.

Effective for what? Any protein powder you choose will effectively up your protein intake. I usually use a soy based flavorless powder found in the bulk section of Sprouts, when I remember to buy it.
